I am using the latest versions of AppleALC and Lilu and Nvidia graphics fixup with no issues whatsoever, very odd

Can you please upload your EFI-Folder?

Thanks,

I just realized that I'm experiencing some bluetooth issues after getting a new wireless tablet.

I have a Broadcom BCM94360CD that used to work fully in my old hack. And system profiler reads the bluetooth module, so it's "there."

But it doesn't function (Airdrop is there, but won't detect devices, can't pair anything via Bluetooth, etc.)

Any ideas? I don't have any patches for the module as it used to work completely native. I'm wondering if something's changed and I need a patch now?

Wi-Fi is ok and works.

Try to remove AirportBrcmFixup.kext from the /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/ directory of your System Disk!

Hi!

I'm totally noob in Hackintosh install, this will be the first, so I really appreciate any help. I have x299 deluxe, 7800x and gtx 1080 gpu.

My basic question is that is it possible to make a clean High Sierra install with the 1080, or do i have to buy a natively supported nvidia or radeon card?

(sry for my bad english)

Your can perform the Clean install of macOS 10.13 SU with your 1080 straight away without any issue! No need for an additionally natively supported nvidia or radeon card if you want to use your 1080!

Thank you very much!

So should I just follow the steps you described in the Clean Install Step-by-Step guide, using your Efi? Or do i have to modify it any way to use the 1080? ( I've read the guide several times and all posts in this tread, but this step is unclear for me.)

Substantial Skylake-X/X299 macOS High Sierra 10.13 Desktop Guide Update

  • Note that opposite to my previous EFI-Folder distributions, EFI-X299-10.13-SU-Release-141017.zip does not contain any default audio configuration. You have to implement the audio approach of your choice during the Post Installation process in Section E.) of the originating post/guide! You can now select between three possible audio implementations detailed in section E.3): 1.) The AppleALC audio approach (section E.3.1) bases on AppleALC.kext v1.2.0 and Lilu.kext v1.2.0 and could be implemented thanks to the extensive efforts and brilliant work of apfelnico. 2.) The VoodooHDA audio approach (section E.3.2) bases on the VoodooHDA.kext v2.9.0d10 and VoodooHDA.prefPane v1.2 and provides both analogue audio output/input and HDMI/DP digital audio output. 3.) Finally, @toleda 's cloverALC audio approach (section E.3.3) bases on the realtekALC.kext v2.8 and on an additional pathing of the native vanilla AppleHDA.kext in the /S/L/E/ directory of the System Disk and has been successfully implemented thanks to the instructions and help of @Ramalama.
  • Yet we have no HDMI/DP digital audio implementation in case of audio approach E.3.1) and E.3.3) for Nvidia Graphics cards! An appropriate AUSIO-SSDT.aml is urgently required! Your contribution is highly appreciated! In contrary, with ATI Radeon Graphics cards, HDMI/DP digital audio is fully implemented within all three audio approaches thanks to Whatevergreen.kext.
  • Error prevention C.13) added! All users of the OSXWIFI Bluetooth + WIFI PCIe adapter need to download and copy AirportBrcmFixup.kext v1.1.0 and Lilu.kext v1.2.0 to the /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/ directory of the EFI-Folder on the macOS USB Flash Drive Installer to successfully boot the latter until the macOS 10.13 Install Screen.

Note the following EFI-Folder related modifications:

  • The EFI Folder contained in EFI-X299-10.13-SU-Release-141017.zip does neither carry Lilu.kext v1.2.0 or any Lilu plugins like AppleALC.kext, AirportBrcmFixup.kext or NvidiaGraphicsFixUp.kext! All latter kexts have to be installed during the Error Preventions in Section C.) or during the Post Installation Process E.)!
  • One also needs now to add the appropriate Audio Injection ID to the config.plist in Section "Devices" of the Clover Configurator
  • The only audio related audio patch yet implemented by default in the config.plist of EFI-X299-10.13-SU-Release-141017.zip is the "Rename CAVS to HDEF" DSDT patch in Section "ACPI" of the Clover Configurator. All other config.plist audio patches have to be implemented during the Post Installation Process depending on the audio implementation of your choice.
  • All ATI users of not natively implemented Radeon Graphics cards users will have to manually add Whatevergreen.kext v1.1.0 and Lilu.kext v1.2.0 to /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/. Both kexts are not implemented anymore by default in the distributed EFI- Folder
One finds EFI-X299-10.13-SU-Release-141017.zip newly attached at the end of the originating post/guide and here below.

Enjoy and have fun!

You have to follow the entire guide including error preventions and Post installation! Especially of your interest might be section E.2) "Graphics Configuration"!

@Ramalama, @ALL,
And here once more the Clover ALC audio installation approach in terms of Clover Configurator:

1.) Add the following DSDT patch to the config.plist under "DSDT Patches" on your System Disk in Section "ACPI" of

the Clover Configurator

Code:
Comment Find*[Hex] Replace[Hex]
Rename CAVS to HDEF 43415653 48444546
2.) Change the Audio ID Injection in the config.plist on your System Disk in Section "Devices" under "Audio" and "Inject" to "1"

3.) Add the following cloverALC related KextToPatch entries to your config.plist on your System Disk in section "Kernel and Kext

Patches" of Clover Configurator in the "KextsToPatch" listing:

Code:
Name* Find*[Hex] Replace* [Hex] Comment
AppleHDA 8a19d411 00000000 t1-10.12-AppleHDA/Realtek ALC...
AppleHDA 8b19d411 2012ec10 t1-10.12-AppleHDA/RealtekALC1220
AppleHDA 786d6c2e 7a6c 7a6d6c2e 7a6c t1-AppleHDA/Resources/xml>zml
4.) Download, unzip and copy the realtekALCkext to the /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/ directory on your System Disk

5.) Download and execute audio_cloverALC-130.sh, which will patch the native vanilla AppleHDA.kext in the /S/L/E directory of

your System Disk
6.) Reboot

@kgp
If you do step 1-4 and insert into
/System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext/Contents/Resources/
the both files in the Attached zip (layout1.zml.zlib and Platforms.zml.zlib) + rebuild kextcache, you don't need audio_cloverALC-130.sh....

audio_cloverALC-130.sh will do everything automatically... if you have EFI folder mounted...

So Teleda maked a genius script...

@Ramalama , @ALL ,

After having a quick look to your EFI folder I am left with the following questions:

1.) What is the meaning and function of HFSPlus.efi in /EFI/CLOVER/driver64UEFI/ ?

2.) At a first glance I had the impression that you not use "VoodooTSCSync.kext" in /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other/
However when inspecting "SyncTSC_i9-7900.kext" I witnessed that you just renamed "VoodooTSCSync.kext" to"SyncTSC_i9-7900.kext" and that the latter file is identical with "VoodooTSCSync.kext", correct?
3.) What about HDMI/DP digital audio output via your Aorus 1080ti xTreme? You don't use any Audio-SSDT.aml in
/EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patches/ ...
Cheers,

KGP

1.) If you make a OSX USB Installer, you get an USB Stick with HFS Partition.
Thats just a Driver for HFS Support, like apfs.efi for apfs support...
Ive extracted HFSPlus.efi from the latest MacBookPro bios and compared to VboxHFS.efi (from Virtualbox) it is superior, because you get the Ability to Patch USB installer with Clover at boot time... Thats not possible with VboxHFS, at least not 3-4 Years ago...

2.) Its just renamed, that the users, see that kext and change or remove it, if they have other CPUs...

3.) I don't have Auros 1080ti atm, its still on RMA, I think im going to buy an Asus 1080ti, or the new msi with 3 fans... dunno...
Something different, the Auros is not as good as the Asus/MSI or EVGA Cards... (Coil wine and Crashes on 2050-2075 default TurboBoost3) Without any oc... That sucks...

I still didn't started to dig into ACPI (rename Devices and adding _DSM Methods...)
Because I want at first place to get rid of VoodooTSC, I hate the Voodoo kexts... long story, don't need to dig into that deeper...

Cheers :)
