Since update to 10.12.5 and latest web driver (offered me the update) I can't boot with web driver. It either goes black screen or defaults to 'OS driver'.

I already had it working in 10.12.4 and previous driver, also I have the "EmuVariableUefi-64.efi" put where it belongs. Just doesn't work.
EXACTLY SAME PROBLEM HERE SIR!

Hi All.

I have to say this new set of drivers Nvidia put out this time around are pretty bad...

I ended up getting a 1050 card a few days ago for my 10.12.5 Sierra HP 8300 3.20 I5/32 gigs of ram machine and was getting the black screen during the boot phase...the monitor would loose power....I spent hours trying to figure it out, threw the kitchen sink at it. Updated the profile to 14.2, changed the text to "Yes", literally did everything...still could not get it to work. I also injected the NVRAM emulation. Many thanks to all of you that have contributed. This is my first build. Picked up my HP 8300 for 69 bucks at a garage sale.

I ended up uninstalling the drivers and re installed them, used MultiBeast and injected the Nvidia boot flags alone with the other base settings, rebuilt the Kext cache, set the HDMI cable to the center HDMI connection(my card had two HDMI ports) and it worked.....I have no idea why or how because I felt like I had done all that before.

Here is the thing....it seems to work great with normal tasks....Ableton and all the plugins, Logic...smooth even....when I fired up Civilization V to test it on on a game it played for 5 minutes and the game quit.

Very frustrating...

Looked at the crash repor, and it was in fact the card/drivers that crash the game....it's not a hard crash where the system freezes...just the game immediately closes, the rest of the CPU works. Other apps open and close. It doesn't not require a hard boot. Hardware acceleration seems to be the cause. Any ideas?

I was using a Nvidia GT 730 2 gig card, and it actually worked flawlessly with my build. I immediately regretted giving it away when I got my 1050.

What actually helped you to fix drivers along with black screen aka NO SIGNAL issue?

See that's the part I can't figure out....I had been at it for so long that I felt like I had tried everything. I am talking hours...

The final steps I took were uninstalling the Nvidia web drivers drivers, then i reinstalled them, then I rebuilt the Kext cache, then i used MultiBeast to injected my complete profile again and made sure to select the Nvidia flag option, I then made sure I was using the center HDMI port on the 1051 and rebooted and it worked.....I had pretty much done all the other steps mentioned throughout the thread...I threw the kitchen sink at it...

Got my 1050ti yesterday for my hackingtosh.
Works flawlessly - running 3440 x 1440p LG panel @ 60hz.

What does that mean? I have updated clover on last version, thats all I know lol
There are 2 variants of the latest Clover (see MultiBeast Features document, Bootloaders) You need the one with NVRAM emulation.

Oh, so in the MultiBeast I have to install that second version of clover with NVRAM if I understood correctly?

Yeah, so I used MultiBeast to use clover with NVRAM emulation, it helped in some way to load nice resolution without Nvidia driver. I thought that's it, so I removed nv_disable boot flag and enabled nvidiaweb but unfortunately the same problem: after Apple logo, the monitor pop out no signal and black screen. This happens only with NvidiaWeb boot flag. So I assume the latest nvidia drivers are not valid in some way.

EDIT: THE NVRAM ACTUALLY FIXED IT, ALL I HAD TO DO WAS ENABLING NVRAM CLOVER EMULATION THROUGH THE MULTIBEAST AND THEN USE CORRECT SMBIOS SETTINGS INTO CONFIG.PLIST (14,2 SYSTEM DEFINITION, SERIAL NUMBER ETC...)

Thank you!
