[solved] Need help on L440

Not open for further replies.
Today i received my TouchPad/TrackPad Update with 3 Physical Buttons on Top Left,Scroll,Right the same that LudacrisVP did.
Finally i can use my laptop without a mouse, the old one was such a pain to work with, its working really well now.
Also now it should work out of the box with Tluck Fork of VoodooPS2Controller since its the same trackpad.
I assume that tomorrow my Display Panel should arrive aswell and i will fresh install 10.12.3 again Ibecause im on windows right now) on my L440 and hopefully the black screen freezing issues will be gone for good since on its geniune display i don`t have that issue.
All what is going to be left for me i guess is fixing the Issue with my Audio Codec and about iMessage i assume i fixed it on my B570e (my apple id`s giving me customer codes although i called apple support for that but still occuring) while the apple id of my father and my two sisters are working without a problem (both iMessage and FaceTime).

I think i will finally be able to reach that perfect hackintosh soon..
will report back with results tomorrow on evening (if i get the display panel package).

Rehabman
Today i received my Display Panel that i ordered, installed it,also installed the Upgraded Trackpad like the T/L/S/450+
Clean Installed Sierra 10.12.3 and Black Screen freezing issue is completely Gone.it was definetly the display panel causing it.
Thank god with the new one its working very good and also much better colors.
Now im downloading Xcode and need to compile Tluck`s fork VoodooPS2Controller which i assume it should work out of the box since its the same trackpad like the t460.
iMessage (Working with the AppleID of my father and two sisters but none of my 4 apple ID are working,4 of them give me Customer Code,i called apple support and they said they fixed*registered* them but its been a week or two and it`s still not working, still giving me same error with same customer codes).

So after this long hackintosh journey(assuming tluck`s voodoops2controller working ootb and iMessages getting fixed after a second call or smth like that) im finally left with 1 last problem:
My Realtek ALC292 Codec.

How do i use HDA-VERB to check whats happening when i unplug and then replug.
Do i also need to install Debug version of Codec Commander ?

Update: Tluck VoodooPS2Controller fixes my TrackPad and everything is working
i only need to decrease the speed of the trackpoint,it moves really fast.

I think I understand the conditions. But have nothing further to add regarding a solution.
Screen/Black Screen Freezing issues gone with the new display panel (Problem Resolved)
Upgraded T460s Trackpad - now everything works out of the box with tluck fork VoodooPS2 (trackpoint fixed)
but the trackpoint sensitivity/speed is to high, which i don`t know how which info.plist should i edit for it.
i still have some Audio Issues,im using InsanelyDeepAk Injector for ALC292 from his github collection atleast it does work as a workaround (no problems with plug/unplug then replug with no Audio) since it doesn`t have external mic configured,it works fine, sometimes when i plug headphones i get some low quality sound like old tv with antennas when is low signal (like everything music, voice has some sort of shhhhh effect) and won`t work until reboot.

Is it better to open separate thread or post to the apropriate thread for each of these remaining problems or we can work on this current thread.

About my Audio Issue (maybe im wrong) but i think the main guide is the one from Toleda and as far as i have readed there it does focus on Desktops the most.
Where is the right place/who to refer for the audio issue.
i can do as much testing as it takes but without some assistance/tips/guidance its beyond my current knowledge on how to resolve my audio issue.

Hi Shiki!

From this thread I can tell you are very good at explaining and summarizing info in a clear and organised way.
Have you considered writing a guide for those L440 users who wish to install Sierra on their Thinkpad?
Information about BIOS modding, Fn keys setup and L440 specific DSDT and SSDT patches would be crucial. Since no real L440 guides are out there.
Thanks for your input and hope to see some guides from you in a near future.

Meanwhile, could you share your DSDT and SSDT patches and tell what BIOS version you are on right now? Thanks

To implement ACPI files from other computers/notebooks is a bad idea, because it can cause problems.
Patch the things on your own. Read RehabMans ACPI patching guide for this: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-patching-laptop-dsdt-ssdts.152573/

Im already working on the guide,i have it fully working now, just need some more patching on audio,(i have a perfect working one,but it doesnt have external mic detection, but its fine as long as it has no issues.)
Im working on a detailed guide and will post each step and work done in details, coming soon.

I'm writing from fresh El Capitan 10.11.6 installation on M.2 SSD. RehabMan's guides worked perfectly and got me to desktop with most things working. Using his config and latest Clover r4035. I'm trying to figure out whole ACPI patching thing.
I extracted and disassembled ACPI files using refs.txt. Got DDST and 10 SSDT files. I wonder do I need them all? Currently I have patched DDST with common fixes and generated SSDT using Piker's script. Adding Haswell brightness fix to one of the SSDT with GFX0 broke my QE/IE. Atm I have a mess of patched/unpatched files and some things work while others don't.

Working:
CPU - Piker's ssdtPRGen used
Graphics - works fully, but I broke it atm
Sleep - no issues discovered
Touchpad - works, two finger scrolling is funky
Battery - works, with T440p patch
Edimax EW-7811Un - works, needs reconnecting to network after sleep

Current issues:
Brightness
No audio devices (will try VoodooHDA soon, T440 guys say it works)
Shutdown fix didn't work (laptop restarts instead of shutdown)
Keyboard Fn buttons
Maybe smth else I missed

I have made fresh Sierra USB using latest Unibeast, but I wish to figure out ACPI patching before having fresh Sierra installation. I can post my clover.zip with ioreg later today

To fix your brigntess you can apply "Brightness Fix" to your DSDT and install the IntelBacklight.kext.
Information about FN-Buttons are also in the brightness control guide from RehabMan.
You can use mirones AppleHDAPatcher, cloverHDA or VoodooHDA to get audio working.
In my opinion AppleHDAPatcher and cloverHDA have many advantages over VoodooHDA.
