X99 Sierra installation problem

You also have to either use patches or pikeralpha method to get it to boot properly

If I were you, I would rather create a new USB Installer using Unibeast method and try again. I would also disconnect all unneeded SATA and USB devices and just have the Installer USB FD and target HDD attached to the system while this installation is going on.

Yes tried all of those, even tried to make a bootable ssd installer instead of a USB, and tried to boot from a sata port. Tried different USB ports as well. nothing still the same. its very weird, and on te forum it seems to work normally, but i ave two different boards with two different cpu gen, and im getting stuck at the same part. something must be wrong i guess that doesn't have to o with the cpu gen or a particular x99 board, im not sure where. is it the installer? could it be?

You have to use fakecpuid with the Broadwell-E chips

yeah i did tried that, but i have an i7 5930K as wel with the same problem next to me. In fact im troubelshootiing now on the asus x99 sabertooth with an i7 5930K.

ok I have some updates.

I followed this guide exactly https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/giacomoleopardos-workstation-triplet.199643/

but I'm using Sierra instead of El Capitan. I managed to pass where I'm stuck. I'm reaching this now:

[PCI configuration begin]
com.apple.appleFSCompressionTypeZllb mod start

then the computer restarts automatically.

Any idea could it be? any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you

I'm also stuck at [ PCI configuration begin ] with my x99 build however mine is an MSI Gaming Pro Carbon X99A motherboard with an i7 6950X and a GTX 980 TI. I have no idea how to get past this. I've literally tried around two dozen possible fixes (boot flags, kexts, patches, etc.) with no luck :(

I'd like to direct you to a mini-guide I made with my x99 chipset board: here
Try the BIOS settings and EFI's I used if you haven't already tried them.

Usually the +++ error is either a RAM issue or an unknown CPU. Go to Clover's options on preboot and enable the KernelCPU fix.

If you have a PCI panis you may be missing the npci=0x03000 bootflag.

Hope this helps.

What boot flags are you using? In Clover>Options>Boot Args: add npci=0x2000 to other flags to overcome current boot arrest at [PCI Configuration begin] In some case it can be npci=0x3000 so try in sequence if the earlier one fails.
Good luck
