But there is still the issue of Safari+HD4400+certain web video content (such as on theverge.com). There is no good solution to this problem. As a result, I'm sticking to 10.11.6 for until a solution is found. I suspect if you have the u430 with Iris graphics (rare), you will not have this issue. I'm actually considering swapping my CPU for a CPU with HD5000 or Iris graphics, but am a bit reluctant as replacing a BGA CPU is non-trivial (it might be fun though).

Hi RehabMan, Is the installation process the same if we fresh install with 10.12?

I suppose this HD4400 problem is only on Safari? If I only use Chrome I will not have these web issues right?

Thank for your time and help man!

Regards.

You can use this guide to get 10.12 going.
There is a patch that sort-of works for the HD4400 problem (probably still not 100%).
For this laptop, 10.11 still recommended. You can experiment with 10.12 if you want.

Hello Rehabman,
I am currently using Lenovo u430 touch, OS X 10.11, I changed the Wireless card for BCM94352HMB and it works really good! Although Airdrop doesn't seem to work. I can use bluetooth with the magic mouse and it detects also my iPhone, but it does not connect with airdrop. Is there any solution for the issue? Thank you very much

Did you use the correct 5ghz patch based on your region of the world (eg. matching your network equipment)?
And, of course, no real ideas without "Problem Reporting" files as requested in post #1.

I have the u530 and everything was going good until my battery died now during the boot process half way the screen turns off and don't come back on but it will boot up if I use USB but then I have no power management or audio. Can someone tell what went wrong thanks in advance

Did you press your brightness up key?

when I boot regular without USB I have to use a usb keyboard

It sounds like you forgot to run ./install_downloads.sh *and* forgot to add VoodooPS2Controller.kext to EFI/Clover/kexts/Other on your HDD/SSD EFI partition.

Hello Rehabman,

Sorry for forgetting about the "problem reporting files", find these attached to this post. I live in Europe, Spain. I have followed the guide "Airport - PCIe Half Mini v2" but it is quite confusing. Do you have the files already patched for this computer? What steps do I need to follow? Thank you for your time and dedication :)
