any idea how do get audio working in sierra? I tried following this guide as well as others. I can patch with toleda but Im not getting any devices showing up in system info. I see Intel High def audio though and all the line in line out etc, but no devices. Tried multibeast and toleda scripts. Please any idea how you got it working would help , thx
I haven't tried Sierra and I'm currently using USB audio, but you might want to look into AppleALC as an alternative

Any news on the Onboard graphics working properly in Sierra? Having glitches in upper left corner when injected with Intel HD530. When not injected it seems slow and does not display properly or in the right resolution:(
Any solution or kexts?
There was this:

TY JOE! I got audio working finally! AppleALC.kext did it after I removed teh patch apple HDAU to HDEF from dsdt patches. Sierra audio works great, sound and microphone. OH I also disabled HDEF8000 to <false/> patch as well at the same time, so dont know which one was doing it but I disabled everything to do with audio and had a fresh install and it worked great. Oh I also have config.plist edits for HDEF from toleda in the config.

Any luck with sleep? I can sleep but on wake black screen and keyboard is definitly frozen (no numlock or capslock working). Is there anyway to see logs of the sleep process?

If you don't see the information in the system.log, you could connect your Hackintosh to another computer with a serial or firewire cable and have the log output go to the other computer. These are enabled using boot arguments (you have to lookup what values they take and what they do):
debug=
io=
serial=
serialbaud=
fwkdp=
fwkpf=
kdp_match_name=

You may be able to google those. Also, you might be able to find the code that uses them by googling something like this:
Code:
"PE_parse_boot_argn serial" site:opensource.apple.com
"PE_parse_boot_argn io" site:pensource.apple.com

Then you can google the variable that the boot arg was loaded into:
Code:
"serialmode" site:opensource.apple.com
"gIOKitDebug" site:opensource.apple.com

Some of the results will list the flags for the boot argument. You might want to use kIOLogPower to log sleep/wake stuff. The boot argument for that is "io=0x80". The man page for fwkpfv mentions that one. Plus some other documents on the web.

Even if you have the log output (which may even include stuff that doesn't go to system.log), it probably won't help with sleep. The problem may be in some kernel extension that doesn't log the issue.

I have my Hackintosh set to not sleep, except for the display which is connected to an Nvidia card. I'm staying away from the HD530 for now. Pike seems to be looking into that a bit more https://pikeralpha.wordpress.com/2016/11/25/hacking-the-intel-hd-graphics-frame-buffer-kext/

nice joe, definitly a few weeks of research for me here with your info!! I managed to grab a screenshot of the KP by plugging in a native supported graphics card, sleeping, then waking with a monitor plugged in to the HD530. This is the freezing thats happening when you try to wake on the HD530.

Well, if you get firewire or serial connection working, then the kernel panic will be captured on the other computer as text. I think on a real Mac, that the kernel panic is stored in nvram to be loaded at restart? I'm not sure. You would want to get the kernel panic without the graphics card to make sure the kernel panic is the same. Also, use boot arg keepsyms=1 if you want more easily readable kernel panics.

The kernel panic seems to suggest the problem is in the skylake driver. With the addresses in the kernel panic, you would setup two machine debugging (ethernet or firewire?), set breakpoints, and step through the code near the address. I don't know how easy it is to track down a Machine Check error or what can cause that (could be a hardware thing that happens if you don't sleep or wake properly).

Hello Guys i'm on el capitan but i have some issue with my lan driver on my hackintosh because sometimes it's all good and some days it doesn't connect to the net and i have to restart the hackintosh a lot of time....do you all know how i can make it work always??

Could you explain your process in getting audio? I've done a fresh install with installing toleda scripts and multi beast drivers with no luck.

Question about the "Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3P". If I buy a new one the specs and pics show an USB 3.1 (Thunderbolt3) connector. I have already an z170x-ud th board which works great and I also use Thunderbolt 2 Devices via an Adapter from USB3.1 to Thunderbolt 2. So will/may USB3.1 also work with the Gigabyte GA-Z170-HD3P? any experience?
