I am in a huge struggle to install Sierra myself, as I have updated my BIOS to version F21 - and I fear that might be a problem.

Having said that - if you could tell me what BIOS version you are running and with what settings I'd appreciate it.
My GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 is using F20 (2016/11/09). There is a F21 (2017/03/16) that I haven't tried yet.
My GA-Z170N-Gaming 5 is using F21 (2017/01/10). There is a F22 (2017/03/13) that I haven't tried yet.

I don't think the BIOS version is causing the OS problem. When you update the BIOS, you may need to redo all your BIOS settings.

Here are the recommended settings from this guide:
  • Windows Features: Other OS
  • Storage Boot: UEFI Only
  • Secure Boot: Disabled
  • Intel PPT: Disabled
  • XHCI Hand-off: Enabled
  • Super IO Configuration > Serial and Parallel Port - both Disabled
  • VT-D: Disabled
  • High Precision Timer: Disabled
  • IOAPIC 24-119 Entries: Disabled
For my Gaming 7, I have:

CPU Upgrade: i7-6700K 4.6 GHz
XMP: Profile1 (3200 MHz)

Full Screen LOGO Show: Enabled
Fast Boot: Disabled
Windows 8/10 Features: Windows 8/10 WHQL
CSM Support: Disabled
(or:
CSM Support: Enabled
Storage Boot Option Control: UEFI
Other PCI devices: UEFI
)

Attempt Secure Boot: Disabled

Initial Display Output: PCIe 1 Slot

Thunderbolt(TM) Support: Enabled
Thunderbolt Boot Support: Disabled
Skip PCI OptionRom: Enabled
Security Level: User Authorization
Reserved Memory: 256
Reserved PMemory: 32

Serial Port: Enabled (works for Sierra; El Capitan requires DSDT modification, or custom device property, or modified serial port driver)

Legacy USB Support: Enabled
XHCI Hand-off: Enabled
USB Mass Storage Driver Support: Enabled
Port 60/64 Emulation: Enabled

VT-d: Enabled
Internal Graphics: Disabled
Audio Controller: Enabled
PCH LAN Controller: Enabled
Wake on LAN Enable: Enabled
High Precision Timer: Enabled
IOAPIC 24-119 Entries: Enabled

Some of these differ from the recommended because they are the default setting, seem to work, and there was no explanation of why they should be changed or the explanation for changing them no longer applies.

Thanks for the response.

Turns out you're right - it's not a BIOS related issue. My EFI partition was messed up and not flaged as boot. Once I handled that, I got my hands on a fresh USB stick which solved every single problem that I had. It simply booted.

My machine is humming very nicely now on 10.12.4 :)

Happy hacking!

Happy to hear that! I don't have any issues at the moment. Everything is working smoothly!

Makes me wonder if I should sell my MacBook Pro :)

Goodmorning again guys, seems that everything working fine except of temp, fan sensors. I got only only hd temps. Any good tested fakesmc in order to see the sensors?

UPDATE : ok i found a pack for skylake sensors. i used all kexts except of facesmc which is included in that pack and temps are only visible in hwmonitor (not in istat menus). Also fan speed of cpu not recognized....only gpu.
I installed the kext's as well from that pack (except FakeSMC). I used KextBeast to install but have some questions as it does not make any effect for me.

1. How can I know whether the kext's were really installed
2. Is there anything I need to do in HWMonitor to get some readings?

Thanks!

I tried the FakeSMC...but had no luck.

Have you guys had any luck with getting temperature readings with this MB?

I have installed the "usual" FakeSMC.kext with plugins from MultiBeast but that created a Panic crash (therefore I renamed the FakeSMC.kext - see attached).

But are there other plugins out there? Could be the FakeSMC.kext is not the problem but some of the plugins?
