Use Carbon Copy Cloner..i bought a license and it's (IMHO) the best app to make in a simply way a working clone.
PS remember to install Clover with your working EFI in the cloned SSD/HDD too.

Hi folks. I just wanted to share that with my 6900K and GA X99 UD5 I have gained some frequency floating (fake speedstep) at 4,3 GHz OC as well as a general improvement in performance and temperatures when compared to my old 5960X (10.11.6).

Hi Giacomoleopardo,

Thank you so much for this step by step guide & attachments. It's ACE!! A+++++:headbang:

I finally have El Capitan 10.11.6 running on my Hackintosh i7 6900K & Asus Rampage V Edition 10 Motherboard with 32GB DDR4 3400Mhz. All i had to change was the FAKECPUID to 0x0306E0 in the config.plist and it booted straight through to the installer.

Geforce GTX 980Ti purring nicely with the latest Nvidia drivers and also have the HDMI sound working.

Wifi, Intel® I218V Gigabit LAN Controller & USB 3.0/2.0 also all working :D

Will look around and have a go at getting the bluetooth 4.0 and USB 3.1 working....any ideas?

Regarding onboard sound, I don't think there's a patch out for the onboard ROG SupremeFX 8-Channel High Definition Audio CODEC at the moment but not needed if HDMI sound is working.

Thanks again,

Ciaodiablo

Hello CiaoDiablo

May you validate that a rampage V edition 10 is OK?
i have a rampage V extreme w/o pb with 128GB and 6950x and 3 titan x maxwell (since the pascal is available: the maxwell in second hand are super cheap here)
but anyway
as a real g33k and want to upgrade (for different reasons) on the edition 10

so if you can validate that with the super job done by Giacomoleopardo and tiny modification the rampage V edition 10 is ok

it will be super

;)

Hi GDS,

Yes the Asus Rampage V Edition 10 is compatible with a Clover El Capitan 10.11.6 installation.

Obviously if you're running a different CPU and PCI devices, the configuration of Clover with be different. Will need tweaking.

I'm now trying to get a Sierra build installed on a separate hdd but the system keeps rebooting after the 2nd PCI configuration begin message. Clover boots fine but can't get to the installer.

Has anyone had luck with an i7 6900K Sierra install yet?

Thanks,
Ciaodiablo

I have been playing around with the Audio and have HDMI audio working for my 980Ti and Audio through DisplayPort -> Monitor speakers are playing Audio without using the SSDT-HDMI-NVIDIA-BR3A.aml (ACPI) on El Capitan 10.11.6

I reinstalled the AppleHDA.kext & installed HDMIAudio.kext / VoodooHDA.kext in S/L/E and ran the audio_alc_x99-hda-100_patch script and it patched the audio kexts. (X99.DMG)

Still trying to get a Sierra build going.....
