Hello, this is my first Hackintosh, i bought everything as said in buyer's guide:

I7 6700K
Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 MB
Crucial 16gb Sport DDR4
EVGA GTX 960

I have tried every combinations GraphicsEnabler=yes, IGPEnabler=No, -x, -s, PCIRootUID=0 or =1, cpu=1, took the GPU out, nothing works.

I managed to take a picture of booting text and it goes black after Starting Darwin bla bla bla.

Have done a lot of search through forums and sites, but nothing solves the problem.

If anybody solved this, please share with me.

Thank you very much

There is no support for SkyLake hardware in Mavericks. You must install El Capitan.

Hi, Going Bald - Thank you, because you probably just save me days of headache. Follow-up (I'm a super newbie on first build, but reading a whole lot)

People keep mentioning "-v" and "GraphicsEnabler=yes" Where are they typing this into?? I've looked at a lot of discussions and Basics, etc, but I'm confused at this point. I've tried for the last week to get my system up and running, and beginning to feel overwhelmed with learning the "Hack" portion of this process :|

Thank you in advance!

I believe I need to include this in my posts:

Build hardware info needs to be added to your profile - click on the silhouette in the right end of the forum command bad top right of your screen. It should be obvious where the info goes - right below your date of birth info blocks, or select Settings->edit build signature and put it in the sig blocks - or both.

For the -v GE=Yes, etc. boot-args go in the boot flag section of either chameleon.org.boot.plist if using Chimera/Chameleon or in the boot flag section of config.plist if using Clover. You can also add them at boot time if you need to by hitting the spacebar at the Chimera boot screen and start typing or right arrow over to the gear icon in Clover boot screen and add them there

Thanks so much. Added profile info, and understand regarding adding the boot flags.

Ok, I'm trying to start over b/c I was having a LOT of trouble with 10.11.4 - My brother made me a bootable usb with latest clover and El Capitan 10.11.1 (YAY!) But now when I push F12 the screen shows me an option to choose my usb boot disk, and when I do and press enter, instead of going to Clover, it goes to "Reboot and Select proper Boot Device" screen.

Tried all my usb2 ports. Can't even get to Clover. More help, please?? I've been trying to do this for weeks with no end in sight....

Have your brother remake the USB with UniBeast.
