@ ramontorres

When u use Hawaii as FBname, the card will default to RadeonFramebuffer. Only framebuffers in AMD8000Controller are Exmoor and Baladi. Attach ur card's rom & IOJones output as zip file if possible.
Open DPCI Manager, click on the eye icon corresponding to R9 290, click on 'choose a destination folder'.

First of all, thanks ( Fl0rian, dr.kkarun ) for your help.

I have attached Files (Framebuffer edits) that may help you. Try both framebuffers with the patch and FakeID. If neither of these work, then revert back to RadeonFramebuffer => inject nothing related to ATI.

I tried both framebuffes and patches (Baladi - Exmoor), and the results were the same on each case : Everything working OK with no problems at all (full QE/CI too) on DVI and DP ports. Finally I have the card running at 100% on El Capitan !!.

The only port that is not working properly is HDMI, it still works with intermittent black screen, noise and blinks.

Thanks for the help !!.

@ Fl0rian

I didn't try yet, with the new framebuffer and patch I'm using now. Tonight, at home, I will see how it works and I'll let you know.

Just curious, does sleep work for you in 10.11?
There's a Radeon related issue in El Capitan, would be interesting if AMD8000.kext is affected, too.

No, it didn't worked, I tried with HDMI and DP (no monitor with DVI right now).

I can see that it wake up from sleep state, but no image, just a black screen.

I'm new to hackintosh, can you please create a tutorial for r9 290 el capitan setup?

Fl0rian,

Do you think R9 290X issues can be solved this way ?

About same issues: no multi screen, no sleep/awake...etc
and a bad flickering if IGFX is set as 1st display in bios. Too bad cause when IGFX is 1st display, sleep/awake just work normaly !

Thanks
