Would you mind uploading your current config.plist that works with your card?

No problem, just give me a couple of days, I'll upload it as soon as I can.

Here it is, I forgot that I already uploaded it in a previous post.

Thanks, I really appreciate it. I might end up swapping out my Windforce R9 290 for a Sapphire Tri-X if I can't get this Gigabyte card working. It's been a frustration. But tons of thanks to folks like you and Florian trying to help. Once I get one working I'll do the same for whoever else follows!

In order to get your R9 290 working, you just need to install Clover bootloader and edit config.plist this way:

Devices > FakeID > ATI = 0X67B01002

Graphics > FBName = Baladi

Graphics > Inject > ATI = YES

KernelAndKextPatches > ATIConnectorsController = 8000

KernelAndKextPatches > ATIConnectorsData = 000400000403000000010300120403030004000004030000000101001102010100040000040300000001020021030202000400000403000000010400220504040004000004030000000105001000050500040000040300000001060020010606

KernelAndKextPatches > ATIConnectorsPatch = 000800000402000000010200220502030004000004030000000101011204010100040000040300000001020021030202040000001402000000010300110203040004000004030000000105001000050500020000040200000001040110000406

Here you get a config.plist already edited (it is the one I use).

I just came here to say that this worked for me on XFX R9 290 DD.
I also got the flickering of the screen, but switching from 60 Hertz to 50 Hertz then back to 60 Hertz helped stop the flickering. Also want to mention I have dual screens. One HDMI and one DVI.

This solution also works for my Dataland R9 290 too with the same flicker problem. And change the hertz did the trick but is a little bit annoying. Looking forward to a perfect solution!

Ok so I have a mostly perfect solution, the only thing that doesn't work is after sleep I cant get the screen to display but I just use a screensaver anyway. Also the resolution is wrong at the login screen but then once I log in it goes black for a second and then corrects. I have a the Sapphire Tri-X r9 290 on El Capitan (10.11.4) and the current method i'm using is a modified version of the config ramontorres uploaded. With just his version I couldn't get it with full resolution.

What Im using:

1. The config ramontorres uploaded.
2. Im using 0x67B01002 as fake ID.
3. Inject ATI Enabled.
4. Radeon as FB-Name.

Im pretty sure thats all I changed. Just download my config and see if it works for you or just make the changes I made. View attachment config.plist

Let me know if it helps :) or if you have a suggestion to fix the sleep/login issue mentioned above.

I have a Gigabyte 290, it works for me also, but with flicker problem (El Capitan).
How can I change the refresh rate? Because I have by the display settings just 1920x1080 (no other resolution), and I can't change also the refresh rate (it shows no refresh rate option).
Thanks!
