Can't Install Yosemite - No Matter What I Do - Asus Z97 Pro - Please Assist
Hi, Ive followed the guides to a T and I have a similar setup to this guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/user-buil...ro-wi-fi-ac-core-i7-4790k-evga-gtx-760-a.html
but no matter what I do, I can't get into the Yosemite Installer.
Here is my system's specs:
Intel i7 4790
Asus z97 pro wifi/ac (bios 2012)
16 GB Crucial Ballistix Sport (have only 1x 8gb ram installed)
Corsair AX860 PSU
Gigabyte GTX 970
Samsung 850 PRO 256gb
History of my attempts:
I didn't have a mac to create the proper usb installer, so I initially successfully installed Snow Leopard using iboot. This I did with the Gigabyte z97x -ud5h motherboard. After repeated failed attempts to get Yosemite installed, I returned the motherboard and bought the Asus z97 pro I have currently installed, and yet no better results. Ive bought a different USB stick as well on this last attempt.
So here are a step by step description of what I've done.
In the bios:
1) Loaded "Load Optimized Defaults"
2) CSM set to ENABLED, Legacy as first boot priority
3) Security set to OTHER OS
4) Disabled Onboard LAN, Bluetooth, Wi-fi
5) VT-d set to disabled
(I couldn't find any CFG-Lock or Secure Boot Mode settings to disable)
USB Installer:
1) I borrowed a friend's mac mini and downloaded Yosemite
2) Downloaded Unibeast 5.0.2 and ran the app (not choosing Legacy or Laptop)
3) Copied over the Multibeast (for Yosemite) 7.1.1 onto the same USB stick
4) Downloaded and copied over the drivers/kexts recommended by the forum member with a similar system - Link at the top)
Installation Attempt:
1) In the bios changed the boot drive to the usb (attached to the USB 2.0 port)
2) At the Chimera boot screen, i typed in (as recommended by the forum member who was successful - link at the top) the following flags: -x -v GraphicsEnabler=No IGPEnabler=Yes Darkwake=0 PCIRootUID=0
3) Watched the code flyer across my screen and then stop at the screen (SEE ATTACHMENT)
Im not sure what else to do. Anyone have suggestions?
