Hi- I just built my custo mac mini (Z77n-Wifi, Xeon E3-1220 V2, NVIDIA GTX 660) and i loaded the correct settings per the guide for z77 boards, but i get the you must shut down your computer screen on startup when I try to install mountain lion 10.8.2. IDK what is wrong, it works with Lion 10.7.4 with bridge helper 5. any ideas

adilworth2014, Boot with -v take a photo and attach it. Without looking at the error message no one will be able to help you.

Here is the verbose screen.

Are you installing straight from a Unibeast 1.3.5 / Multibeast 5.1.3 install etc. or trying to install/update to 10.8.2 from Lion?
If you are trying to run Lion on it, it may not have all the drivers needed because it is an Ivy Bridge board (which only 10.8.2 would have full set of drivers for).

And have you checked your BIOS settings? ie. Preboot XHCI on, XHCI on Auto, EHCI on; AHCI on; Video on Auto detect, Init Display on Auto; Max 32MB RAM; Intel Virtualisation on; VT-d off, Intel Rapid Storage off; Intel Smart Connect off; 2nd Marvell controller off etc.

Try booting with -v -f and see if it gets you in.

Also check few things in BIOS..

HEPT or video memory = 64MB
Vd-t = Disabled.

Hey all -

I got it to work. It appears you cannot install ML with the GTX 660 in the computer, so I removed it, inserted an old 8800 GTS card, installed ML, Multibeast, and then GraphicsEnabler=No and the NVIDIA Drivers for OS X ML 10.8.2. I shut down, removed the GTS 8800 and reinserted the GTX 660. (Note: This is NOT something I want to do often, as everything is in a Silverstone Sugo SG05 case, and removing and inserting components is a royal pain in the rear :( ) Everything has been working so far O-K, i'll update this post if more problems arise...

Thank you all for your outstanding help, and a happy holidays to you all. If there's something I can help you with in return, feel free to ask. I owe you all one.

Sincerely,

adilworth
