If u upgraded to yosemite will rehabman's patch still work? escpecially those kext that was modified to work with my laptop? HP pavillon dv?

All of what? What specific kexts are you talking about? I do not have a computer like yours.

These are all the patches i followed from your instructions:

• With MaciASL, patch your DSDT as follows:
  - Open MaciASL, it will load your system DSDT
  - click Compile, note error with TNOT
  - click Patch, you should see the laptop patch repo displayed
  - select "Fix TNOT Error", click Apply
  - select "HD3000 Low Resolution" (I'm assuming your display is 1366x768), click Apply
  - select "HD3000 on 7-series", click Apply
  - select "Brightness fix", click Apply
• Select Rename “GFX0 to IGPU “ click Apply
• 7-series usb (only)
• USB3 Multiplex
• Audio Layout 12" and "IRQ Fix".
  - click Close, then Save As to /Extra/dsdt.aml, format: ACPI Machine Language Binary

All the above tasks are applicable to Yosemite. Best to patch Yosemite native AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext, of course.
