Buttons work for me on your reattached kext, so the issue must be elsewhere.

Currently it recognises 1080p @120Hz on my 4k TV:

Nope.

USB-C 4K works perfect on Mojave 14.3, but does not on Catalina, because no dvmt minstolenmem patch available for Catalina platform (Skylake like 6200u).

NO minstolem dvmt patch found for skylake on catalina platform works.
To enable 4k support, stolenmem value should be set to 00002002, which causes kernel panic on catalina.
