Before the USB issues started happening my main problem was audio and to get around this I would use an external USB sound card. However with the switch to 10.11.xx the USB ports on my board were almost useless and the software fixes inconsistent.
So after many weeks of testing various USB fix solutions and failing I tried the Inateck KT4004 PCIe card and out of the box everything worked – If you have a spare PCIe slot this is a cost effective and time saving way to get around any USB issues you may be having. The card cost £27 GBP on Amazon Prime.
Basic build info below:
MacOS 10.11.6, GA-Z87X-D3H, Intel Core i5 4670, 3.39 GHz, 8Gb RAM, 2 x 128Gb SSD, 2 x GTX 750 Ti, 1 x USB PCIe (Inateck KT4004), 1 x Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro PCIe, 1 x TP Link TL-WDN4800 PCIe N900 Wireless Adapter
