I have a gaming pc with the same board as you and a couple of Titans. Sold my macbook and could do with running OSX again so going to attempt a hackintosh.

If I pick up a SSD for it tomorrow would you help me get it up and running if I run into problems?

Did you get the guide finished you mentioned.

Think the Titans are going to be a nightmare!!

Hi :)
Try booting with -x and apply this "fix": http://www.tonymacx86.com/graphics/...phics-acceleration-9-series-motherboards.html

I have gone back to Clover for now. Following this guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/user-buil...board-ac-wifi-bluetooth-4-0-secure-drive.html up to step 3, and skipping the parts on audio (Tried, but did not work...), wifi and bluetooth.
After hours of testing and searching audio is now working :headbang: I installed ALC1150+9 series patch+EFI boot from multibeast and then did this: https://github.com/toleda/audio_ALCInjection/blob/master/[Guide]-Add_HDEF-Clover.pdf  Need to do some more testing because i tried soooo many things to get this working, but I´m 99% sure the above is the trick :)

Will make a proper guide if/when i find the time.

There are some changes for ALC1150 made buy Toleda:https://github.com/toleda/audio_CloverALC
and New2.1 patch command
Update: v2.1 - 9 Series/EAPD added to 887, 892, 898, 1150, credit: kidalive
For Clover bootloader:

1150 only: edit config.plist/KernelAndKextPatches/KextsToPatch/
"10.9/AppleHDA/Realtek ALC1150"
1. Clover Configurator/Property List Editor/Replace
1. Before: <09ec10>
2. After: <0009ec10>
2. TextEdit/Replace
1. Before: CewQ
2. After: AAnsEA==

Sorry guys, have not had the time or energy to dig deep into this yet.

Tried it a few times, but have been unable to reproduce the result. All works, exept audio... Still have my backup where audio works just fine, but can't figure out why...

Now I'm abot to tear my computer down to install a custom waterloop. Maby I'l have another go after the build...

I couldn't find the intel i218v kext, or it isn't working:banghead:. Can you help me? Thx in advance

Hi, I have a similar build as yours and I'm desperately trying to make OSX Snow Leopard to work without any luck of booting into install screen :( , could you please tell me, what BIOS settings are you using and if you remember boot flags as well since we have the same motherboard... Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for my English since it's not my native language. Thanks.

Snow Leopard willl not run on Haswell hardware. You need Sandy Bridge (6 series boards) or earlier to run SL. Mavericks 10.9 is earliest version to run on Haswell hardware.

Yes, got it all working at the moment :D Sleep, sound, ethernet, power management, HD 4600 graphics all works perfect. Still no GTX 780 though as it has not returned from repair yet.

I Will make a guide, but are in the middle of moving across the country so got little time to do it right now. I want to do a complete reinstall to be 100% sure this works from scratch :problem:

If you have little experience in running osx then a gigabyte board is usually the best choice for you. It is usually a lot easier to get running and better supported on this forum to. Take a look at the suggested complete setups and supported components here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/437-building-customac-buyer-s-guide-july-2014.html

If you like to put in an extra effort then the Hero VII sure is doable :) For me it´s worth it because i love the looks of the board and the fact that Asus have great fan controllers on all fan ports. I hate fan noise

Hope this helps a bit on the way for now :)
U got PM to work, how ?
