USB 3.0 Internal Card Reader drivers?

Hello,

I have a Akasa AK-HC-07BK internal USB 3.0 Card reader. I am looking for a way to make this card reader work. The USB ports do work and when I insert a SD card the lights start flickering but the SD card will not mount. In system report under USB the card reader is listed. I feel like I'm very close to getting this thing work. Anybody has any suggestions? See screenshot for how the card reader is listed.

Hi there.

My guess is power. The hub seems to take a fair bit, being USB 3.0, but does the amount supplied by the motherboard port leave enough for an inserted card to operate? 100mA for any and all plugged-in devices? Not 100% sure but it's one avenue to look at.
