Upgrading to High Sierra

Need advise to upgrade my Current MacOS to High Sierra
My configuration is:

  • MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 (16G1212)
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
  • CPU Cooler: Corsair H60 54.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
  • Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z170MX-Gaming 5 Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
  • Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-2400 Memory
  • Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
  • Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 4GB WINDFORCE Video Card
  • Case: Silverstone FT03B MicroATX Mini Tower Case
  • Power Supply: Corsair CSM 750W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
  • Case Fan: Corsair Air Series SP120 Quiet Edition 37.9 CFM 120mm 3 - Fans
  • Case Fan: be quiet! SilentWingsPURE 42.0 CFM 80mm 2 - Fans

Just upgrade all your hackintosh kexts and Clover. Also, install apfs.efi.

I hace installed it successfully.

now facing two things.

1.: In the starting screen after the motherboard logo, I see some text written on the screen as attached image.

2.: Graphics slowdown


any ideas and suggestions plz.

That text is normal. It is from apfs.efi.

If you are having graphics lags, downgrade Nvidia web drivers to .104 version.

Any ways to hide that apfs text on MB logo screen?

current driver version is 161.

I tried to install 104, but it says unsupported by the OS and flickers for any activity. so I have to install 161.

It sometimes slows down the chrome, opening and closing tabs in browsers.

Yes, there are directions on how to hack apfs.efi to hide the text but I never did it. Search around on this forum. Directions are somehwere... I don't know where off the top of my head.

Again, search around on this forum on how to downgrade to .104. There are a lot of threads that talk about the lag and tons of people have downgraded.
