MacMan's Haswell Test Build: Core i7-4770K + GA-Z87X-UD3H

So right now Intel Core i7 4770k won't boot
but Intel Core i7 3930k will boot

None of them are supported officially yet

Correct?

Semi correct, the i7 3930k CPU is supported in the kernel but there is no Speedstep as you need to use NullCPUPowerManagement. This will change once the new Mac Pro is released along with a general release of OS X that supports it.

can you confirm that if I overclock the Intel Core i7 3730k I would have at least two speeds?

I just don't want the CPU to run at full speed 24/7

I know it won't scale nicely like the 3770k, but that's OK

If I can't sleep, that's OK

What I'm saying is Chimera will recognize the Haswell CPU but OS X will not boot without a special kernel.

How do I get this kernel?? PLEASE HELP

Once Apple releases the 10.8.4 kernel source I will release a kernel to support Haswell CPUs.

But don't you already have it?

MacMan doesn't have the 10.8.4 Source yet at it isn't released.

Any estimates?

I am debating between Haswell and LGA 2011
