Thanks, I attach config.plist here for you to check if I do something wrong. Now I'm going to restart my Lenovo G50-80!

Haha, no luck, still black screen :(

Is this helpful?:

Code:
upupmings-iMac:~ upupming$ ioreg -l | grep "IODisplayEDID"

    | | | | | "IODisplayEDID" = <00ffffffffffff0006afed3700000000001701049522137802d1159e59539b271e505400000001010101010101010101010101010101783780b470382e406c30aa0058c1100000180000000f0000000000000000000000000020000000fe0041554f0a202020202020202020000000fe004231353648544e30332e37200a009

//End

Seems EDID was not changed on mac?

Try change 0x16160002 and enable inject intel
Still got black screen after inject intel

Shall I change several ig-platform-id? Okay I will try and report.

Always enable inject intel :
0x16260002 : black screen
0x162B0002 : black screen
0x16260005 :black screen

Maybe I found the solution...
On FixEDID select the bin, select patch MacBook Pro Display, with deselected "Add/Fix Monitor Ranger", after copy the folder whit modifier EDID under /System/Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides. Reboot & test
Some question:
  1. My screen is 16:9 however MacBook Pro is 16:10
  2. Don't we fix the checksum? Directly copy?

Test result: got black screen after boot finished, external screen is working however.

This is the generated DisplayProductID-XXXX

Try this with no ig-platform-id and disable inject intel... first "Reboot & test" share my the file generated DisplayProductID-XXXX (so in the meantime check if it's right)
Without ig-platform-id , got both black screen after boot finished on laptop and external screen. However, the external screen has the mouse icon showing and I can move.

I think if there is no ig-platform-id specified, WhateverGreen will use the default ig-platform-id .
