Hi,

I'm trying to create a Maverick USB drive using a VirtualBox VM. I already got the app from the store and I was successfully able to format it as stated on the instructions.

Once using the UniBeast installer, in the "Select a destination" screen, it presents both the HD and the USB as possible options but both have the yellow warning triangle, in the case of the USB drive stating:

UniBeast Mac App Store can't be installed on this disk.
You can only install this software on the disk that is running Mac OS X.

What can I do?

Thanks.

Did you resolve this? I too am trying to install UniBeast inside a VM and am getting the "You cannot install to your boot volume" error.

EDIT: Nevermind, I thought it had to be installed to your Mac before it could be used, but I've re-read guides and it looks like it installs directly onto the USB stick.

I had the same problem. I reformatted my USB drive to have the name "USB" and it worked fine.
