Hi! In case this helps someone having mach_kernel error at reboot on HDD after install...

Few days ago I first migrated using UniBeast 5.0.0 from OSX 10.9.5 to 10.10 in "upgrade mode" after deleting kernel strings in bootplist as told. Then KextBeast to regain my audio.
Success!

Then wanted a clean install so I followed the tutorial using this time UniBeast 5.0.1. Install went smooth. After that I applied Multibeast in EasyMode as always. Then KextBeast for my ethernet and audio and after that Chameleon Wizard...
FAILED!
I guess my use of Chameleon Wizard is the reason for MY mach_kernel problem.
Took me a while to figure it out since I have always used this program...

Maybe this will help someone not knowing what to do after he's done everything he read here to try to fiw that kernel error :)

I found you can use Chameleon Wizard to easily edit stuff on bootplist and apply themes or whatever as long as you reinstall Chimera after that.
It will solve any mach_kernel error at boot (at booting your Yosemite drive that is)

Voila pardon my English ^^

Love the new look of Yosemite!
Amazing work!
Thanks to all the people making it possible!

The Realtek ALC 887/888b current doesn't seem to be working fine.
Just got Yosemite running on my rig.
Things seem to be working fine except for sound.

Will post any more issues, once i run it thoroughly tomorrow.
Thanks for the update.

My First Post here so I want to start from thanking Tony and team to put all the hard work on getting this awesome project going.

About my Yosemite Installation which was a success after some trial and error here is the info what hardwares I have and what i have done..
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z87X-UD5H
Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 660 2047MB
Memory: 24GB 1600Mhz DD3
CPU: 3.9Ghz Intel Core i7
HDD: Samsung EVO Series 240GB SSD

Installation:
1) Time Machine backup of Mavericks
2) Fresh Install Yosemite with Unibeast
3) During installation Restore Application and Documents folder when ask to move from previous mac option
4) Multibeast options
Screen Shot 2014-10-22 at 6.21.08 PM.png
5) After Multicast installation and upon reboot change Audio to internal speakers to get Audio to work
Screen Shot 2014-10-22 at 6.26.29 PM.png
6) Changed com.chameleon.Boot.plist to following specially GraphicsEnabler=No to stop having frequent freezes after booting into the Hackintosh
Screen Shot 2014-10-22 at 6.29.11 PM.png
7) Add Graphics Mode string to get fullscreen apple logo during boot however I am still getting black bars regardless of HighDef resolution setup in. Don't know why.

Everything works as of right now Audio, Network. The only thing I have noticed not working is SLEEP function which I don't really care but like to have that option as well. I will really appreciate somebody's help on getting sleep function.
Hope this will be helpful to some and once again thanks Tony and team for putting this project.
Andy

@Anantbhula

Post your question about sleep Here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-desktop-support/

as I just mentioned in the post right before yours.

Also put you hardware specs into your User Profile under general info.

Where did you find the guide

Specs:

  • Mobo: asrock z77 pro4
  • Proc: ivy bridge i5 3450
  • Graphics: 02G-P4-2662-KR GF 660 SC
  • audio codec: Realtek ALC892 Audio Codec
  • lan: Realtek RTL8111E
  • 16 GB ram
  • 3 HDDs

Everything works perfectly. Thank you guys!

Tried two instances: a fresh install on an empty HDD and an upgrade from Mavericks 9.4.
I wanted to know if the frsh istall is faster ...not really. Just the install time is much slower for the upgrade. Very slow.

Both work perfectly. Just make sure you follow the instructions for "upgrade" word by word.

Multibeast 7 settings: Easybeast + audio + ethernet.

Very easy! Perfect!
