Gigabyte B75-D3V (BIOS V. F4)
Intel i3-2120
Asus GT440 1GB

EFI Compatible ROM and and ACPI is set.

no matter what flags I use (PCIRootUID/GraphicsEnabler) I always end up with a
unable to open /var/db/BootCache.playlist error
Previous Shutdown Cause: 3

and the screen turns black.

I searched around for an hour now but all entries are over 6-8 month old and there seems to be no real solution as most threads just stop...

Have you tried:

a) Updating your BIOS to version F7 (which may improve things)
b) Using the strings -v -x GraphicsEnabler=Yes npci=0x2000 to boot?

tried your flags, same error.
going to upgrade bios. something tells me it will make no difference.
btw. there is an even newer version F8a - maybe I'll just take that?

edit: updated bios to F7, same issue.

any other ideas? I kept trying but nothing... I always run into the same error.

I had my hackintosh up and running and after a few freezes i now get the same verbose kp. i'm looking around for a solution, please let me know if you find one.
