View attachment 246797 Hi
I fallow the guide and after the last restart.
I've done all till the end where i restart my pc and restarts started.
Any idea what is wrong?
Thank you
Hi,

If you have this issue after you install some kexts, then there are two ways to resolve this.
First one, reinstall a fresh Hackintosh with your USB stick.
Second one, boot your hackintosh with boot-arg:-X, after you login to your hackintosh, delete your kexts from either S/L/E or L/E.

And after this, try to install kexts one by one, see which kext brought you this kernel panic, since I only experienced kernel panic when I install power management and sensor kext.

Best Wishes,
twsps

I will get back to you on tha,t mate. I doubt it'd be a Bluetooth problem as Ii've completely disabled Bluetooth in BIOS now. I've ordered a new board and will return this one very soon.

Also, with my Ethernet, I discovered that it was my file server not the hackintosh. I recently re-cabled the area around the file server, and I must not have used a different cable. File server said the connection was still gigabit, but outgoing speed wont go over 12MB/s. I swapped it for a known working gigabit Ethernet cable and the issue went away.

I think sleep/wake hackintosh issues are just something unique to Kaby Lake... I have looked at quite a few builds with Kaby Lake boards and nobody has been able to get sleep/wake working. When Apple release Kaby Lake Macs, I think we'll have much better success!

ALSO RE: the audio, I didn't test front or even the back ports. Sorry mate, as I've always used an external DAC instead (and this works fine as it has native OS X support anyway).
What do you mean a DAC?

Btw, I just changed my bedroom's router to Gigabit to enjoy full speed of NAS!

Thanks for the reply.

I think its very cheap to get another chips to install on it since I can find other kind of wifi card in Chinese shopping website. It looks like only two screws that can be take it out. Its easy to replaced. I would better to change this card. The wifi chips can not work should be for a long time until Apple would update their computer to these wifi chips or other manufacturer building a special wifi card for Apple computer. Since I don't like any issue that cannot be solve in my computer, as it will be used every day. The Ethernet card ,I'm not worried about it due to I can see many board with the same chips and works fine. But as I mention before, I worry about the chips doesn't work in this computer as audio, Ethernet, powermanagement chips all are the chips that cannot be replaceable. So I think we should pay more attention on these kind of chips to make a prefect Mac !:lol::lol::lol:
So far I experienced several issues: No front panel audio(waiting for ALC1220 patch), sleep doesn't work, No 4k with HDMI but DP, WiFi, Temp Sensors, AURA LED Strip control(you can't set it to be off when your computer is off).. I can't think anymore..

Good luck,
twsps

@twsps for the audio, did you try lilu with appleALC?
My alc1220 all ports working, just digital output doesn't have system volume control.

Did you get your front panel audio and mic working?
I'm using VoodooHDA2.8.9 kext, what kext did you use?

@twsps uh yes, all working, only SPDIF can't use the system volume control, must use software,
All analog ports work very well, never lost sound after wake, no distortion or anything like that observed.
Tho I can't speak for the quality of the sound changed or not compare to other method. I think that's subjective plus, audiophile probably use external DAC.

Lilu.kext and AppleALC.kext by vit9696.
AppleALC is a plug-in of Lilu now, so you need both in the same folder or put Lilu in plug-in folder of AppleALC.
Layout ID-11 works well for me, read the release note, the latest version has some other layout ID you could try.
This kext doesn't co-exist with VoodooHDA cuz it needs HDAS renamed to HDEF.

This method only works when you install kext in clover, so it loads prior than AppleHDA.kext.
AppleHDA.kext remained unchanged and nothing is patched. I really like it this way so everything if needed is vanilla.
however, putting kexts in clover means slower boot time. Two kexts aren't going to create any noticeable delay anyway.

Wait, you said you can sleep your Hackintosh? I saw you are using hd630, but how did you manage your sleep? Is your fan running when the Hackintosh is slept?

@twsps I said all working means all port on ALC1220 works, front and back.
hd630 SLEEP, but doesn't wake with video output, and system isn't properly running either which leads to KP and reboot.
Good news is Pascal possibly coming next week.

What do you mean a DAC?

basically an external (usb) sound card. i have a few that i use with computers... audioengine D1 and creative sound blaster X7 are the ones i've tried on my hackintosh and work flawlessly (however these also work on regular mac, so no surprise there)

no volume control when using digital is normal, for any OS really.. windows mac or linux. nothing wrong here :)

@fanclub, what kext did you use for audio? Is your front panel audio working?
