Hi.
Yesterday I finally sat down and tried to install Yosemite on my machine. Unfortunately none of the guides already posted here worked for me so I had to tinker a bit before it was up and running smoothly (ish).
Hardware:
Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R (FE)
Intel i7-930 2,93 GHz
Zotac Geforce GT640 2048 MB
Kingston 12 GB 1600 Mhz DDR3
Multibeast:
Quick Start > DSDT Free
Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > ALC889
Drivers > Disk > 3rd Party SATA
Drivers > Disk > TRIM Enabler > 10.10.x TRIM Patch
Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC v6.14.1364
Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC v6.14.1364 Plugins
Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC v6.14.1364 HWMonitor Application
Drivers > Misc > NullCPUPower Management
Drivers > Misc > USB 3.0 - Universval
Drivers > Network > Realtek > RealtekRTL81xx v0.0.90
Drivers > System > AppleACPIPlatform Rollback > 10.9.5 AppleACPIPlatform Rollback
Bootloaders > Chimera v4.0.1
Customize > Boot Options > Basic Boot Options
Customize > Boot Options > Generate CPU States
Customize > Boot Options > Hibernate Mode - Dekstop
Customize > Boot Options > Kext Dev Mode
Customize > Boot Options > Use KernelCache
Customize > System Definitions > Mac Pro > Mac Pro 5,1
Customize > Themes > tonymacx86 Black
The machine is now up and running. Sometimes however it won't boot. It freezes approximately in the middle of the last progress bar and won't continue. This happens every once in a while when rebooting as well as starting from power off. It doesn't really bother me so I haven't taken the time to troubleshoot it yet, but should anyone have a clue as to what might cause this, feel free to point me in the right direction. That would be appreciated.
