I have tried to upgrade to lion..but while installation start screen is going black screen no display..which GPU is used while ur upgrading to lion from SL??

I am gonna check the sleep option more time and let you know the output...

weird i used ati 5450 during lion installation .
try to connect to DVI

Which port is used by is DVI or VGA or HDMI of HD5450??..I have tried using vga port...don't have DVI connector..have place order for DVI to VGA Conveter..

could you please let me know which graphics card is best for supporting games and LION installation???

i'm using dvi ,but i tried vga before and it was working
ok, grap VGA to DVI connector and tell me
ATi 5450 is low-end graphic card and it's more powerfull than Nvidia 210 GT and Intel 3000 HD but if looking for the best solution for games and lion supporting it will be ATi 5770 (sapphire)

after searching this forum (THANKS to macman & notshy topics)
but there is a little more thing about the graphic card ,now i knew that this kext for 5450 (in this topic) not well configured with mac ,ok the question now how i knew that.
the answer is so simple try to open dvd player it will crash
and try to open microsoft powerpoint (as power point only works with native supported graphics card) and slide a show it will also crash.
about the solution i will post it to the main topic once i fix the resolution issue

Thxs for update..I haven't noticed that..any how check and follow the link mentioned above.


One question from my end..in about my mac pro ,RAM is showing like 1333MHZ..but in Greek beach,it's showing 0 MHZ.

Is there any way to fix it????

Now you shouldn't use any VGA to dvi connector ,use VGA directly
