[Success] Danman’s first build: Running Mountain Lion 10.8 and Windows 7 64bit on two separated SSD

Two weeks ago I decided to build a desktop that would give me the horse power I require.
I started the journey with the following components for running Mountain Lion 10.8 and windows 7 64bit. Definitely no Noob anymore ;-)

After spending several frustrated hours I’m finally managed to boot my windowmacx86. Mountain Lion 10.8 and Windows 7 64bit on two separated SSD.!!

  1. Downloads:
    • TonyMacx86 - Link
      • UniBeast
      • Multibeast

Procedure:

  1. Remove Graphics Card and use motherboard graphics.
  2. Set BIOS to the following:
    • For the right configuration from the motherboard (bios) I used this quid.

  • Reset Motherboard Bios Default and set SATA mode from IDE to AHCI (Just to be on the safe side).


  1. UniBeast
    • Follow this tutorial: Link


  1. Boot from flash drive
    • I normally boot in verbose mode just in case (-v)


  1. Install Mountain Lion
    • Follow this tutorial: Link
    • Follow: “STEP 3: Install Mac OS X Lion”


  1. Complete initial setup.
  2. Run MultiBeast and select the following options:
  3. Reboot and enjoy your hackintosh!

Notes:

  • I’m using the latest F8 BIOS update: Link
  • To fix how system profiler looks follow this guide: Link
Use easy beast installation for boot and Chimera/Chameleon for selecting boot options

Of course it can be done, and no it's not a challenge, it's foolish...
