The Build
To be honest, I didn't actually have to build this PC (though I did clean it up and put it in a different case) as it was given to me after I build the owner (my dad) a new computer. He sent me home with this one. It was built by a now non existant company called Cube 247. I decided to try an OS X install on it as a challenge not thinking it would work since any research I did on the board didn't have an overly positive outcome. Since I have an i7 3770 hackintosh already, I decided to give this to my sister.
Installation
First thing that I did, was reset the bios to factory settings. After that, I changed SATA to AHCI mode and that was it. There was no need to do anything else.
After that, I booted up into my trusty 10.8.4 UniBeast drive. I didn't have to use any kernel flags to boot. It just went into the OS X installer without any difficulty. I formatted my drive as OS X Extended (Journaled) and used the GUID Partition table then installed OS X as normal. I rebooted into OS X using the UniBeast drive (I may have had to use GraphicsEnabler=No. I cant remember. If it doesn't boot, then use that flag), went through the set up process and once I was on the desktop, I inserted another USB drive with MultiBeast on it and transferred it to my desktop. In MultiBeast, I chose the following options:
After restart, I ran into an issue where the system would lock up completely after around 30 seconds unless I booted through the UniBeast USB. After a spot of Googling, I found this:
http://www.tonymacx86.com/general-help/81103-hackintosh-freezes-about-30-seconds-after-boot.html Huge thanks to user johnsalter for this fix!
Summary
Pretty much everything seems to work. The only issue I had was with sleep but I will work at that and report back if I manage to fix it I will also use the system more and let everyone know if there are any more issues that I come across. Oh, and it gets 8888 points on x64 Geekbench. Not bad for an older PC!
