Wow! Wonderful guide; great! Thanks
Do you think that these guide/configuration could help for a Build with GA z390 Gaming X? (CPU i5 and Graphic card msi rx580)

Thanks!
I don't know about the GPU, but you could definitely give it a try.

> You can try to experiment with those settings if you need the Thunderbolt adapter for a different purpose. In my case, this worked for me because I only needed it for my Audio Interface. USB worked as well.

I connected the USB Type-C (Thunderbolt) port on ThunderboltEX 3 to a mobile monitor which only has a Thunderbolt input interface. It works like a charm without adding any additional configurations!

Thank you again!

PS: Only the thing which is not working for me with this guide is graphic.
Due to the fact that I am using an iGPU (UHD630), I am having the "7MB" GPU memory issues.

My Hackintosh set up is:
  • i5-9400
  • Asus Prime Z390-A
  • Team DDR4 3200Mhz(PC4-25600) 16GBx2
  • Crucial P5 500GB 3D NAND NVMe Internal SSD - CT500P5SSD8
  • ThunderboltEX 3 PCIe card

Hello
ok it does work! THAAAANKS!
(Great guide!well described)

Installed CATALINA on
GA Z390 gaming x, MSI radeon 580 rx (8gb), 32 gb RAM, CPU i5 9400F
It seems all OK
but didn't tested internal AUDIO (I don't "see" it, it doesn't work) because i use external audio card with PCIex1 firewire 400 adapter

I Followed your guide with some changes:
(Pre-install (1/3):)
done (following at the same time the 10.15 Installation guide... from step 1 to 5)
Pre-install (2/3):
skipped it
(done as last post installation step)

Pre-install BIOS/UEFI settings (3/3):
done but not for DRAM Frequency:
"Auto" and (XMP "Profile1")
I have different RAM and don't know what is better for me....
Installation (1/2):
done

Installation (2/2):
done

Post-installation:
done

Additionally for Thunderbolt (Asus ThunderboltEX 3):
No: i'ven't got it

AT LAST
Pre-install (2/3):
done with some changes:

in post installation (after multibeast post installation, rebooted, from USB Clover, and then choose to launch my mac os System ) then I used Clover Config.... mounted my system's EFI (SSD system)

downloaded and copied your attachments in my EFI (replacement) as explained in your guide:

- unpacked Fixes.zip and put SSDT-EC.aml in /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched

- put EmuVariableUefi-64.efi in EFI/CLOVER/DRIVERS/UEFI

- Then I opened your Config.plist file with Clover Config. and modified it following some of your tips
BOOT
- Make SSD/HDD primary boot drive: Boot -> Default Boot Volume -> 'MAC'
- Enable XMPDetection: Boot -> 'XMPDetection=Yes'
- added 'slide=0' boot flag: Boot -> Boot Arguments
- added 'ACPI Patch' on Acpi
but with some changes:
- Arguments: I ve cancelled "-v" from arguments... avoiding verbose boot mode
- on "Kernel and patches" I kept all, but cancelled the two kext paches in the "List of paches"
DON'T Know if it were good for my System... could you help me?

- changed CsrActiveConfig from '0x3' to '0x67': Rt Variables -> CsrAciveConfig

- saved and replaced config.plist in my /EFI/CLOVER of my system

You're welcome!
Your EFI folder is fine.
You can use my Config.plist. Cancelling '-v' is fine!

Just upgraded my motherboard and CPU. Best guide out there for this particular board

Hello,

I think I have a slightly similar configuration with with a board ASUS Z390-E and a Radeon RX 580 and tried to follow your guide. However I do not reach the installer as it freezes before with something related to AppleUSBXHCI.

Any thoughts ?

Thank you!
