The edits in SSDT-GFX0 can be used for both Nvidia & Radeon Graphics. Onboard iGPU requires different ACPI edits. But requires PEG0, PEGP to be renamed depending on ACPI.

do onboard still require renaming and patching in 10.12.6? Asking for Intel HD 530. I plan on testing on-board alongside discrete GPU for Quick Sync functionality, as nvidia HW acceleration is **** when it comes to video decoding over VLC or web media in macOS.

You use ig-platform-id in config.plist to implement Graphics. But I prefer to use a SSDT with Platform ID along with HDAU edits.

However, in the image you posted above showing me which section to put these in the values in the field for change EC0 to EC are different
Find 4543305f
replace 45435f5f

I used the latter because I wasn't able to enter in the former without Clover changing what I inputted. Can you verify that the second is the correct one to use?
Yes, sorry, I missed a '4' in the original value - thanks for the spot, I've updated the post to reflect that, so the latter values are the ones you should use, you are correct.

Sorry but i am lost. I've read and read and still can't figure out how to install XHCI-200-series-injector.kext. would you be able to guide me through this?
On the github page click the 'Clone or Download' button, and download a zip. Unzip this file and you'll see the XHCI-200-series-injector.kext file. Just install this with KextBeast or your chosen kext installation method.

I am getting some noise when connecting speakers and/or headphones (cracking sound). Music plays at normal levels, but with the noise at the background. Any ideas what to do?

By a chance did you get thunderbolt working? I installed an Asus thunderbolt 3 PCIe card to get thunderbolt to work without much luck on Sierra , the card works fine in windows though ...

Hey, men! Nice build! I'm trying to do the same. I have the same motherboard, CPU, graphics. The only thing that change is the disk. I will use an M.2 NVMe drive from Samsung. So, I have a question.

Why did you do this change ?

Change SAT0 to SATA

Did you update your BIOS? ASUS released a new version. Thank you very much for the response.

Hmmmm. Not sure what that could be. Have you checked your cabling? Did you install the audio drivers from the original guide?

No, I haven't, but I haven't really tried, since I have no Thunderbolt peripherals. I'd suggest searching the boards to see if there is anyone who has done it on another machine with the same ASUS card as you.

Pretty sure that was mentioned earlier in this thread. That change is to reflect what the on-board SATA is called in an iMac14,2, which this build spoofs. I haven't updated the BIOS since my build.

Guys, sorry to bring this question on this thread, but I'm really using all the resources on this forum to make my first Hackintosh happen...

My build is really similar to this one. Here's what I'm using:
Asus Hero IX with i7 7700K
EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC2
850 Evo 1tb (for Mac)
Ballistix Sport LT 64GB
(I pretty much purchased all Hackintosh compatible items to avoid any glitches to migrate from my MacBook Pro to this machine)

I've been for the past week reading throughout so many threads in this forum (and others), but I cannot just make this build work.

The MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 was correctly installed. On the first boot I used MultiBeast to install the basics following this tutorial (and some others, like Heroica), installed NVIDIA Web drivers, but when I come for a restart, the machine get stuck on Apple's logo. I reinstalled MacOS, reinstalling the drivers differently at least 20 times now to try to figure out what is the issue, but I really feel blinded doing this... I have no special knowledge on that and it gets really frustrating not figuring out what's wrong trying to guess the issue.

Bellow you can find the Verbose print screen of the issue (cannot really understand those black and white infos).

Can you guys please help me out with that?

Thanks so much for the well written guide. I was wondering if you'd be willing to post your SSDT for your USB ports? I have the same hardware and it would be super helpful to be able to compare mine to yours

Sure, here you go. Bear in mind that your case needs to be the same, and I have a USB card reader in there too, which if you don't have you'll need to adjust the SSDT accordingly.
