Hi, this is my first time trying out Hackintosh, so don't get surprised if I don't know what you're talking about! ;)

Alright, to the point. I installed Yosemite on my main computer (MSI P67A-C45, MSI GTX 660, i5 2320, Samsung SSD) and it worked fine, using Unibeast (I've tried Clover but it failed completely). After I had setup the Hackintosh and installing Multibeast I couldn't get past the loading screen when rebooting, any ideas why this could be? I used DSDT Free if that helps. Thanks in advance

Well since I can't even boot into Yosemite at all I'll have to reinstall the OS again I suppose. Or is it possible to use verbose mode without turn it on in Multibeast? In that case when? The bootup is very fast, so after the motherboard screen, the screen goes black for like half a second and then the Apple logo shows up

Hi daveintosh,

At the chimera boot screen (the one that shows that drive to boot from), you can just hit spacebar and then it will give you an option to type in any boot flags. At the point just go ahead and type the following:

-v

Then go ahead and take a picture and post it so that someone will be able to help you further.

There we go, hope that helps

See if you can boot into safe mode using the following flags:

kext-dev-mode=1 -v -x

Also, when you selected DSDT free, did you select any other options? You might've had to install using Easybeast option instead since it installs critical kexts/files.

I tried the kext dev mode thing and it got me into the OS again, however there was some weird graphical "bug" during the loading process but it disappeared when I logged into Yosemite. I did infact try Easybeast the first time (should have mentioned it I guess) but that time I also got a similiar problem with getting stuck at bootup however the difference that time was that to the left of the Apple logo there was some kind of text and at the bottom it said something like "system uptime in nanoseconds" I think. Anyways, shall I install Multibeast again now with a different setup?

Can you please attach your /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist file?

After attaching it:

Go ahead and restart the computer and boot only with the following flags and see if you can get to the desktop:

kext-dev-mode=1

I'm afraid I can't find what you asked for, maybe I'm looking in the wrong places but I've checked the Multibeast "package contents" as well as the "install yosemite" file without results.

No worries, we are all here to help each other.

1) Open finder
2) Go To "Computer" then the drive you boot from
3) See if you see a folder named "Extra"
4) The org.chameleon.Boot.plist file should be there. Go ahead and attach it.
