Hello all, after finally getting my Installer working, I am having another problem. After the second reboot of the installation it just gets stuck at the logo screen, I tried to use the same injections thats on my Sierra boot but no luck. When I change video to Nvideo web I get the white screen, otherwise I get the grey screen with logo.

Well since I haven’t received an answer yet I decided that I’m going to backup my Sierra HDD and update from there. The problem is my Mac shows I have a 2011 and I need to update my Mac type. Which type is best for my 2011 build and will I be able to do an update directly to Catalina? Because I am having a heck of a time installing fresh into another hard drive.

Well it looks like there is something wrong with the Catalina installer, I tried Mojave and I was able to install it, getting it to boot up is another story. I later found out my GPU isnt compatible with it.

Hi there.

Yes, two probable issues:

1) You need a post-2012 system-definition to be Catalina compatible.

2) No Nvidia support since High Sierra. Sorry. (GTX570).

:)
