Yes, I'd update as you're 3 updates behind. You can check the GA web site page for the Z68X-UD3H, click on the Downloads tab, choose BIOS in the pull down menu and read the update notes for each BIOS version.

Awesome, makes sense. Sorry, just another question, would I be able to update the bios then add the new dsdt without any issues? Do I just copy the new f12 dsdt and overwrite the old one or apply it though multibeast? Thanks again for your time Stork.

Since you have to update the BIOS in the BIOS, replace the the DSDT.aml in the /Extra folder, then reboot into the BIOS and upgrade. Then, when you reboot after upgrading the BIOS, you'll all set.

Stork, in my Software Update preference pane I'm getting a notification of a "Mac OS X 10.7.4 Supplemental Update 1.0." It's 31KB in size. Do you know if it's OK to go ahead and apply this update? Do I need to run Multibeast after I update and before I reboot? See the attached screenshot.

I can't remember if I ran this update or not on Zorro. I do remember applying the update to my P55M systems, and it didn't require re-booting. So, backup, repair permissions, update and repair permissions again.

c8169,
Punctuation can make reading a post easier (clearer).

What do you mean "TRIM support won''t apply"?

TRIM is overrated if you have a SSD with a SandForce controller which does it's own garbage collection. I have OCZ Vertex 2/3 and SanDisk Extreme SSDs with SandForce controller; thus, I don't use MultiBeast's TRIM option.

Re: Stork's Sandy Bridge Z68X-UD3H - i7-2600K - HD3000 - Lion

Trim support in About This Mac is not enabled.
I used multibeast and checked trim support and restarted computer
I thought not having trim support enabled would shorten the life span
Of the ssd.
Also my sss is an ADATA 64 gig ssd drive.
