Still waiting for root device

hi guys

I'm trying to do a hackintosh, and i have the USB installer of Lion 10.7.4.
I select to boot from the USB typing "-v", in verbose, and it starts to load fine until it arrives to "Still waiting for root device" and i don't know how to solve it.

Any ideas??

I have an Asus A53S, intel core i5, 6GB ram, nvidia geforce 610m

I just had this problem and remembered that I did not have AHCI enabled in the bios. Enabling fixed it.

Other ways you can solve this, put your sata ports at 3GB/s and move the harddrive to SATA1

It will not boot if it's in a USB 3.0 port. plug it into the 2.0 port. (Had that same problem)

After many tries (I even updated my BIOS), I finally plug my USB in a 2.0 port instead of a 3.0 and ... it works !
