Hello, when I first made my build, I got a 120GB SanDisk Extreme. Now I my dad has picked me up a 240 GB SSD for my birthday. I planned to run Windows on an SSD so I could run Parallels once I get my system stable (which it hasn't been for a long time but seems to be getting better.) I want to upgrade to 10.9.3.

How should these drives be configured? The 120 has both Windows and OS X, and the 240 has all my apps? Or should the OS's be on separate drives? What should I do about upgrading? Should I transfer stuff between drives and how so? I back up regularly with time machine.

All help appreciated. Thanks.

My two cents....

I would put the OS's on separate drives. That makes them much easier to work on and upgrade.
I use a 3TB HDD for OSX and a 256GB SSD for Win8.

There are several good guides here to help you. Search for "multiboot"

Also - remember that SSD's crash hard when they crash since there is no utility that can read them after the go bad. If a RAM chip stops working it's dead. KEEP good backups!

^what he said, especially about the separate HD for each OS.
