I temporarily switched off from Apple when they moved from PPC to Intel, because I didn't like that move at the time, when I was enjoying Tiger so much. So, I skipped Leopard completely, and moved to a Linux+Windows config (Linux for development and serious stuff, Windows for 100% file compatibility with Office users). One of the best points of the Mac is that it offers these two things in the same OS: great development possibilities -even better than Linux IMHO- with also 100% file compatibility of commonly used apps from Windows. This is where my love and praise for OSX stop. Today GPU power has taken as much importance as CPU, and even more in several cases. Half professionnals and gamers will like this and i don't understand why Apple is not reacting to this demand.
I have probably missed something...?
Then I moved back to Apple in the days of Snow Leopard, because I realized OS X was still far better than a Linux+Windows dual config.
But today, I feel again like it´s time to distance from Apple again, like I did years ago. Current Apple strategies are too risky for the Mac platform. I'm a developer, and I build multiplatform apps. I can keep MacOS compatibility even if I move to Linux, so that I can continue deploying Mac apps. But I'm not jumping into the bandwagon with Apple this time, because I need to see a real plan for the future, and Apple doesn't seem to have a plan.
