I did do the createinstallmedia method but it only copied the installmacoshighsierra.app.
Are there any other files that need to be copied over to the osx partition?

It copies other files, but they are hidden.

Those are the hidden files on the osxinstall partition.
I already deleted the whole USB and repartitioned it with the files so I don't know what to do next.

Run the createinstallmedia again.
Make sure you're running it from a 10.12.6 installation.

Ok, I'll do that and report back.
Thanks for your help :)

Okay so creating a bootable USB from a High Sierra installation also didn't work.
I was searching online and found a solution on how to create a bootable USB under windows.
That worked for me.
Now I can boot into the installer.
My next problem is that the "osinstall.mpkg is missing".
I have the latest fakesmc, no nvrm.plist and also no EmuVariableUEFI-64.efi on the clover partition.

Thanks for that link.
I already tried to install High Sierra with your guide multiple times.
Sadly, I don't see the install partition in clover.
I also tried your fix with installing it through a mac that has 10.12.6 or newer, still didn't work :/

Make sure you're getting the full installer. It should be 5+ GB.

From where did you download macOS?
On what hardware did you create your USB installer?
