@obus - do you mind posting a copy of your EFI folder anyway. My CS422/W2155 machine won't power off without EmuVariableUefi-64, do you need this, or do you have some other setting to achieve this (other clover flags don't work - halt enabler / fix shutdown). Thanks

Here we go.

I've changed my SMBIOs to Mac Pro 6,1 instead of iMac Pro due to the Apple T2 Security Chip in that rig.
I'm not sure that a Hackintosh without that chip is so vanilla and in addition to that the graphic is working smother with the Mac Pro SMBIOs due to the lack of internal monitor.

Thanks @obus. I don't think the T2 chip is a problem with the iMac Pro SMBIOS - it seems to work well with X299 based set ups. I've found that I need
- AptioMemoryFix-64
- EmuVariableUefi-64 + RC scripts
to get shutdown to work.

As an aside I can also get sleep / wake to work with my RX580 card, using the RX580 aml file from https://github.com/KGP/X299-System-SSDTs. However it only worked after I disabled the onboard VGA using a jumper on the MB - see https://www.asus.com/uk/support/FAQ/1034980

Funny that you need EmuVariable-64 to get sleep and wake to work. I had no problems with neither shutdown or sleep/wake without that driver.. The jumper for the internal VGA I always had disabled and in bios I check that my RX Vega is inboard device. Could it be some other bios settings that is the culprit for you?
Try my attached bios settings and see if that changes anything.

Seeing What?
You mean my config.plist or mine EFI folder?

Seeing What?
You mean my config.plist?

Weird, now I do....funny thing is, though. I can't even get it to boot as listed (it's been a few years since I built a hackintosh). Have all my BIOS settings as you have listed, on v.0905 bios

Though when I set the CSM to disabled, it doesn't even see the USB drive to even attempt a boot.

Is the VGA controller switch on the Mobo disabled?
