I am newbie and have followed this link and loaded Sierra 10.12.5 on the same hardware.
The post installation has been done with MultiBeast 9.1 and that fixes network, sound, USB problems but not the video.

Quick Start > UEFI Boot Mode
Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > ALC1220
Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > 100 / 200 Series Audio
Drivers > Misc > FakeSMC v6.25-332-gf3a8525c.1758
Drivers > Network > Intel > IntelMausiEthernet v2.2.1d1
Drivers > USB > Increase Max Port Limit 200 Series
Bootloaders > Clover v2.4k r4063 UEFI Boot Mode
Customize > System Definitions > iMac > iMac 17,1
Drivers > Graphics > Intel HD 6xx

The DVMT pre-allocated has been set to 1024mb in the BIOS but 'About->System Report->Graphics/Display' shows
Chipset Model: Intel HD Graphics 630
VRAM (Total): 7 MB
Kernel Extension Info: No Kext Loaded

Hello :)

You don't mention what exactly is wrong with video. Is it a lack of acceleration? Black screen? There's now a fair bit of HD630 info hereabouts to experiment with.

For me your config.plist looks too long and complicated - especially the SSD patches. I know you've followed the linked guide so don't want to rewrite that if it worked. Just feel you need to peel away the extra stuff to get to the core, to highlight the real problems, so to speak.

I would:

1) Firstly, try a different system definition to the iMac17,1. People generally use this because it's the nearest real Mac to a Skylake CPU and so, theoretically offers better CPU management. However it causes all kinds of graphics problems - black screens especially. How about iMac14,2 ?

2) Do some research here into using the M.2 SSD and any mods needed. I feel certain you can remove a lot of text from the config.

3) Look up other Fake IDs. You can leave these out of the config.plist and then enter them - on a trial basis - into the Clover/Options boor screen (I've seen 19160000 for example but have no idea if it will suit your PC)

You can enter a lot of experiental stuff via the Clover boot and immediately see what the results are.

:)

Your ig-platform-id as specified in config.plist/Graphics/ig-platform-id is wrong.
As you have discovered, using an invalid ig-platform-id is an effective way of disabling the graphics drivers...

You have config.plist/Graphics/ig-platform-id=0x19168086.
It is not a valid ig-platform-id.
Try 0x19120000 or 0x19160000 (or other valid ig-platform-id).

Thanks for the suggestions.
I picked the first from the iMac 17.1 'pick list' 0x1912000, and the system works like a dream.

Very nice simple system:
In Win Chopin case, include 150W power supply
Asus Rog Strix Z270i, onboard video
Intel i5 7500
16G Kingston HyperX Fury
Samsung NVMe 960 EVO M.2, 250Gb
