Yep
That's the idea.

Make sure you only have the drive not containing a DSDT hooked up!

Hopefully we'll get your firewire happening as it should be on that board.

here it is!!!

thanks for your time plexi!

Unzip and rename it to just say DSDT.aml and replace your friends old DSDT with this.

Try with just FakeSMC, ALC8xxHDA and AHCI3rdParty in E/E.
Use Lnx2Mac's Realtek RTL811xx (version 0.0.67) from Multibeast 3.8.0.
Don't use version 0.0.90 on your board with Snow Leopard as it's really for Lion and the RTL8111EVL used in Sandy Bridge.
Best Smbios for H55/P55, and your processor is iMac 11 1.
Checkout Lnx2Mac's blog for bios settings but leave the Dram voltage as it is.
Probably best to use USB3 driver (version 1.01) from Multibeast 3.8.0 on your board.
You can try the latest version 1.08 but it may make second sleep fail?
If it does, delete PXHCD in S/L/E, run System Utilities and install USB3 again from MB 3.8.0.

Good luck

plexi the dsdt is not for my build, is for my friend that i´m helping it!
is a p55 us3l just i put in the other post. sorry that i dont put it here to!

that dsdt bould help me? or you need to do another one?

the build is runing 0sx 10.6.8

sorry!!!

No problem
Give me a minute N I'll re-edit N upload.

Use this one

The other info in my last post still applies to the P55-US3L apart from the USB3.
That board doesn't have USB3

plexi, thaks for all your help, but the **** still going, the second drive only apears after sleep :(

more info: it i boot with the problematic firewire drive, plugged in, it took a los to pass teh grey scren, and then it frezze, until y unplogged or shut it down

Well the DSDT is fine so the problem must be down to one of the Lacie FW cards.
The Database DSDT for that board has the audio codec edited for ALC892.
That board has ALC888.
Maybe the FW chipset is not fully supported?

The best FW cards are Texas Instruments.
I've never known em not to work!

Why not just use the one FW card for the 003 and record onto a second internal drive?
SATA is a way faster transfer than FW400 or 800.
That board has a whole bunch of SATA's.

plexi i'm fraid that the 002 doesent apears, not if the disk are recognized, i only have this 2 disk to try. he use his studio as post production, so a lot of people take disk!
i bought a texas instrument, but i take away one VIa card, put te TI, and nothing......

tomorrow or on tuesday i will go with the build and try!

thanks for all anyway!

It's definitely not a DSDT problem then.

You can't share a FW audio interface with a FW drive on the same bus, even on a real mac.
The interface will unclock itself.
Just remove the drive from the FW enclosure and put it in the puter!

So the 002 is not recognized with just the one Lacie FW card fitted?
Have you tried it in a different PCI slot?
You've got four of em.
That can sometimes make a difference.

I'm not a fan of anything Lacie have ever made!

The TI FW card you need is the double chipset version.
The single chipset version is not powered.
They are hard to get hold of these days as they were discontinued a while ago.

Maybe look for another used Gigabyte P55-UD4/UD5 on ebay, which has internally fitted TI FW and will definitely work with a TI double chipset card to add a second FW bus.

That's what my machines have and they all work like a charm!
