In the tests I have done since Sidecar exists, Sidecar's behavior is different if the problem is due to an SMBIOS that provides T2 compared to one that does not foresee it but does not have the iGPU enabled.
In the first case: SMBIOS with T2 = no connection is created and an error message is received on the computer for timeout almost immediately.
In the second case: SMBIOS without T2 but with iGPU not enabled = the connection takes place and the bars with the Sidecar management symbols appear (if enabled in the preferences), but the screen remains black, sometimes writing an error message on the iPad talking about poor connection and the connection remains active until it is disconnected from the computer.
