Sidecar

In the tests I have done since Sidecar exists, Sidecar's behavior is different if the problem is due to an SMBIOS that provides T2 compared to one that does not foresee it but does not have the iGPU enabled.
In the first case: SMBIOS with T2 = no connection is created and an error message is received on the computer for timeout almost immediately.
In the second case: SMBIOS without T2 but with iGPU not enabled = the connection takes place and the bars with the Sidecar management symbols appear (if enabled in the preferences), but the screen remains black, sometimes writing an error message on the iPad talking about poor connection and the connection remains active until it is disconnected from the computer.

With little spending money I have not even lost the functionality of the secondary screen.
The only thing I investigated today, because it was too late last night, is that Duet works only via USB and to have it also in Wi-Fi you have to pay a monthly or annual subscription and the same thing applies to the functionality of Apple Pencil, that are not a negligible thing!:roll2:

In practice, the PC crashes on waking up only if there is an Iphone attached to a specific USB-C port (the only one of MB), so for now until I find the solution, before waking it up I disconnect the phone and I hang it up after waking up, it costs me zero, since I'm already at the PC, the problem will be when I get used to it and I have solved the problem, because out of habit I will continue in that way.
I've tried asking for help on how to troubleshoot, but haven't received any answers yet.
@Simon70 I wanted to report three other apps that can replace Duet and that perhaps manage to work in wifi. I have yet to test them ... they are: Reflector, AirServer and ApowerMirror.

I'm sorry about your iPhone problem. Unfortunately I have an Android and I can't verify what's happening to you!

Thanks for sharing, maybe I'll take a look at it. When and if you will test these alternative apps, check thoroughly that all the specific features related to the Apple Pencil are accessible and under what conditions, because more than Wi-Fi, they are essential to be able to do graphic works in a serious way and therefore not to hear the need to buy a specific graphics tablet (which in any case at Duet's annual cost for those functions remains a little expensive to be amortized).

If I can give you a hint, for me, sidecar is working only with intel graphics card actived within motherboard bios.
My first graphics card selected for boot is pci-e (RX 5700 XT)
My motherboard is GIGABYTE GA-Z270-UD5

Hi everybody,
I attempted to configure sidecar with my Mac (iMac 19,1) with Big Sur, booted with OC, after the activation of BT and WiFi and my iPad Pro iOS 13.5 jb. I cannot use sidecar on the same WiFi network and iCloud account in spite I start with iGPU, which is recognised by VideoProc together with H264 and HVEC acceleration of main AMD graphic GPU. I believe it all depends on BT and WiFi adapters. Each one is working but together cannot be coupled: BT is a Broadcom chipset 4.0 Low energy and WiFi is a TP-Link key easily configured without any effort.
I notice by system summary that BT handoff is reported NO.
Cable connection leaves the iPad screen fully black.
What am I missing?
Any suggestion?

according to OC documentation, it is a known issue and this is why I have not upgraded to Big Sur yet.

Ok, I understand. In the meantime I studied a little more the discussions in various sites and decided to order a new PCie card combining BT and WiFi that seems to work OOB. I hope it is immediately compatible with Big Sur. Have to wait until next week.

Guys, this is not a problem of OC, but a problem of the "adapters" etc. you are using. I have an original Airport Card in my M.2 slot and I've had Sidecar since Catalina, and working on Big Sur w/o any problems...Stop using the cards, adapters from the guides and use original Apple Airport cards instead. You can find them on ebay/amazon/aliexprtess for cheap.

Ok simple and cheap, but can you install it on desktop motherboard?

yes, either, the MB has a wifi (integrated) card that is replaceable, or, you buy a pci card with m.2 slots for the wifi/bt airport card and manually connect the antennas
