Sapphire Redeon RX 560

Hello everyone, installed almost 2 years ago. High Sierra. Then I updated directly to mojave. Everything works well. Then I changed the monitor with a 4k, so I had to change the video card because the integrated GPU, the HD4000 does not support 4k. everything works fine but I only see rx460 instead of rx560 in the system information. Sorry for my bad English I am Italian. thanks all

because rx560 are 2GB .. mac not support 2GB RX5xx. there in no problem. IF you won to fix should flash bios of GPU.

Some of these cards were rebranded RX460s. Run Luxmark ball benchmark to see if it has 14 or 16 CUs. you don't have to run the whole time just test to see how many CUs (compute units).

RX460 =14
RX560 =16

Then ist all OK. The wrong name shown is only cosmetic, beside your GPU type is in real an RX 460. OS X supports that like real RX 560 and real RX 460. New buyed "RX 460" are now (since 6 months+) often RX 560D cards which are with 14 CUs compute shaders vs 16 CUs 560 (non D) has. Speed diff isnt huge! Only a few % slower.
If you dont have luxmark you can use small terminal app below to check CUs. CL_DEVICE_MAX_COMPUTE_UNITS:
My (real) RX 460 was bios patched - unlock shades - from 14 CUs to 16 CUs.

Solved.. Reinstall OS.. Original Clover post install and now work fine..

I deactivated the video card integrated from the bios before reinstalling the operating system, maybe the radeon was recognized as an external card?

Not sure about that. My own RX560 has 4GB and always reports fine.

I think @Gigamaxx at post #4 makes a good point.
