I have a simple question with maybe not so simple answer. Or maybe it is that simple like I think...
So I have a RX580 8GB graphics card in my build. It's a i7 8700K + 32GB build.
The question is this: can I just pull out the RX580, plug in the 1080ti and install the web drivers?
I plan on buying the 1080ti but I know that AMD cards are always out of the box ready and simple to run, but I hear that nvidia cards sometime have problems.
Is it easy just to switch with web drivers install or do other things get messed up in the process?
I'm on the latest High Sierra OS.
Anyone tried this?

Thank you!!

You could do that, but make sure you set the proper boot flags in clover. k

It will be fine, but note that people with NVIDIA cards started having problems starting with High Sierra and AMD is preferred.

Is there a reason why you need the 1080Ti instead of something like a Vega 64? Which is as fast as a GTX1080....

If you need that extra horsepower for Windows (ie gaming or whatever) then keep both NVIDIA and AMD GPUs, and do not install NVIDIA drivers on macOS. Use AMD under macOS and 1080Ti under Windows.

Also there are no Mojave NVIDIA drivers yet, who knows how long it will take. Pascal drivers took 8 months...
