Hi all

Since a few weeks I'm having trouble with my Hackintosh, specs are below.
I think the problems started occuring after upgrading to 10.8.5. (From 10.8.3)
I needed to use Xcode, and the only way with the app store was to install 10.8.5, so here we are.

I'm having issues with the computer freezing. I don't know what exactly is the source of the problem.
The screen is just frozen. (clock stands still, mouse not moving, not reacting to keyboard commands).
Only way is to reset the computer with the 'reset' button on the case.

This happens about once an hour, average. Can't really find the culprit.

If I check the console logs they stop when the system froze, so it's not just the screen that's frozen, it's the whole computer.

This is the console log right before such a freeze:

18/04/14 23:24:21,205 coreaudiod[187]: Disabled automatic stack shots because audio IO is active

19/04/14 09:36:32,000 bootlog[0]: BOOT_TIME 1397892992 0

I Have no idea how to troubleshoot this issue.
I've had tried to remove the bluetooth dongle and the firewire card, and the problem persists.

So the computer boots fine. I can work like normal but then suddenly it freezes. No kernel panics or anything...

Any suggestions to find out what's causing this?

I was running some renders on the machine and noticed it didn't freeze up. Trying to figure out what was different I noticed I had no browser open (though there were apps like dropbox which use the internet).
I disabled wifi connectivity (I have no ethernet where the computer is) last night and woke up to my computer still running like it should. (yay!)

So... It's probably a networking issue.

I gave my computer a long processing intensive task before I went to work, so I'll know for sure if it still works when I get home. If it did freeze again, my assumption about the network was wrong.

Any hints on figuring out what's wrong with the network? I might try removing the wifi-card and temporarily running an ethernetcable, but I don't really know if that is going to help.

Anyone similar issues?

EDIT: so, some progress. I've put a temporary ethernet cable and the computer is running for 12+ hours. Wifi is still disabled; So it's probably an issue with the wifi-card somehow
