HI community !
I am a engineering student and want to make a hackintosh as cant own a mac and will my existing setup be practical for my purpose please help as doing this for the first time.
My main Uses are:
Xcode
Sierra |Windows 10 (if possible) Dual Booting
Android Studio SDK
Virtual Devices
NetBeans
Small games just for light gaming.
What i have:
8 GB RAM DDR3 1333MHz 1.5v NON ECC
SSD V300 60GB
HDD Western Digital 420GB
Processor Core2 Quad 9550 2.83GHz 1333MHz 12MB L2 LGA775
Motherboard p5g41c-m lx
Guys i am totally noob in graphics card and need one for some games and also for virtual devices for app dev. Please suggest me a budget friendly graphic card which will be compatible with my motherboard and will work on sierra without any trouble. I think I dont need very high intense but 1/2gb should be fine. You can even suggest me older ones as i dont mind using secondhand graphic cards.
My motherboard details :Asus P5G41C-M-LX compatibility review for graphic card.
The Asus P5G41C-M-LX supports onboard graphics. This allows for integrated graphics when paired with a compatible CPU that supports them. Integrated graphics are a cheap alternative to using a graphics card, but should be avoided when frequently using modern applications or games that require intense graphical processing. There are 1 PCIe x16 slots on this motherboard. This means it is perfectly capable of accommodating the latest graphics cards, although it is important to try and use a graphics card with the same graphics card interface of PCIe v2.x, as anything below will not reach the motherboard's potential, and anything above will have its performance slashed to the bandwidth maximum of the Asus P5G41C-M-LX 's PCIe v2.x. The Asus P5G41C-M-LX does not support multiple graphics cards via Nvidia SLI or AMD Crossfire.
