I recently encountered a problem with sleeping on Catalina.
Background:
- Boot Arg darkwake=1.
- Power Nap turned on.
- Wake for Network Access turned on.
Symptoms:
- If I turn Power Nap off, it will sleep and wake properly.
- If I turn Power Nap on, it always *wake up* like 30 minutes later, and CPU and fans and pretty much everything is turned on except the monitor so it doesn't seem to actually wake up.
- Since it *wakes up*, the computer won't sleep itself any more.
- And it won't sync any mail or message or do Time Machine backup during this *wake up* time.
Then I tried to `log show --style syslog | fgrep "Wake reason"` to rule out:
It did not do the Power Nap sync stuff although it was awake from 02:42 to 07:20.
So I searched log for keywored "wake", it shows
every minute since it wakes. Maybe it has something to do with the problem?
And I also tried Boot Arg darkwake=2 to 10, it's all the same. Anyone have an idea? And here is my EFI in case you need it.
