[SOLVED] Graphics problem with EVGA GTX 690 SC 4GB card

Hello dear friends.

I face the following issue. I updated my graphics card and changed from an older EVGA GTX 660 Ti to a newer EVGA GTX 690 SC. Once I changed it and tried to enter my Yosemite, it was impossible to enter. I tried to enter with my usb, nothing at all! It gets stuck (see photos included)

Also I tried to restore to an earlier version, nothing at all too! Also I get the message that the files on my HD cannot be restored! This is the first time in my life that this happens. All was working perfectly with my older GTX 660 Ti.

Can anyone propose a possible explanation or any solution?

Anyways, I wish all of you a happy and safe New Year! :)

Can you boot when you add the flag nv_disable=1?

Just did it with that specific flag, it worked! Thanks a lot, but when I enter Yosemite the frame rate is a mess.

Is there a fix for that? What would you suggest, comrade?

Since you can boot with nv_disable=1, you likely need to install the Nvidia web drivers to use the GPU. Boot using nv_disable=1 and then download and install the drivers. Then reboot and use nvda_drv=1 instead of nv_disable=1.

Driver links can be found here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/graphics/161256-solving-nvidia-driver-install-loading-problems.html
