With this replacement and some bottom tray modding I should be able to get this together.
We shall see.

The coolers you linked are just about the same as the one I linked.

The one I linked does not go above the memory stick on a normal mobo, I have the thin to my ram is SODIMM and folds down as such. I am trying to think of a way to give myself some more space between the top and bottom of the case because no matter what cooler if you want to use that CD tray as a DVD one than you will run into hight issues.


I would really like to keep the whole function of the case. So I need to plan accordingly.
The side cooler I got from Intel will need to be used in another build.

That thin board does not come with a power supply, I had to buy a laptop one I snagged off Amazon for my mobo.

At the time I was unable to get the standard USB 3.0 ports on the back to work with unibeast, the pin headers on the mobo are 2.0. You shouldn't really need this now, you can use Unibeast on the rear USB ports. Unknown why I was having issues at the time.

hi eelhead, glad to see you making progress, and would be interested how the Zalman cooler works out, and how effective it is at cooling. I think Ersterhernd is eyeing it up as a replacement for the Slim Silence in his next Cube build. I have created a thread on the topic. Have a read here :-

Hello from Switzerland,
I have the same motherboard but a different CPU (intel HD 2500).
I cannot pass the boot screen as the keyboard is not functioning
Any idea ?

2500 graphics are unsupported, you'll either have to run a graphics card or get a CPU with compatible on-die graphics.

OK I will go for the intel i3 3225
BTW can you reboot your system easely (I have to manually switch off mine)

I put my MB into a AKASA Fannless case
With a SD card it is almost silent (did not know that SSD disk make some noise)
